Tip- tape or cover everything that you don't want any product to end up on. Rotary's tend to sling product everywhere unlike the DA. I definitely learned to tape the door jams after using a rotary. I just got to use a Cyclo DA and hope I never have to use a rotary again. haha!
Awesome review. I was going back and forth on these 2 and decided when the time is right to get the Griot's too. This review confirmed it. Thanks for all the great info.
Nothing looks better than black when it's shiny. Awesome pictures. Do the people at work ask you to move your car because the shine blinds them through their windows? haha!! Incredible shine. My DD is Charcoal Gray, trying to get pics up since I just finished it.
Haha, wishful thinking I guess. If I ever get the 69 Camaro I want to build I'll have to look him up. :xyxthumbs: Thank you again for ALL of your help.
And yes Nick, please post pictures. I just treated my DD to BFCS and I can't believe how it looks. I'm curious to know how this stuff looks...
Hey guys, thank you again!! I just currently did a detail job on my DD. Everything done by hand since I didn't have a DA polisher. After all the clean and prep steps I applied the BFCS twice yesterday a few hours apart. Let it sit overnight and applied a 3rd coat this morning. My car has never...
It's funny you mention Thursday night's episode, I actually watched it from beginning to end. Once I find a video from Mike, I can't help but watch the whole thing. It's amazing the amount of knowledge he has. I say funny because I wondered the same thing too about how he can produce excellent...
bbk11- Thank you once or I should say twice again for all the great information and links. I actually saw that video on youtube but I thank you for that too. There doesn't seem to be many videos on youtube besides what's on this forum. As far as the forum, every time I come on I learn something...
addy- I knew that car was that beautiful for a reason. The hard work you put in shows. Thank you very much for the run down. I'm still in the learning process with all these new products. I'm used to the off the shelf stuff with a rotary occasionally. I'm looking for better professional quality...
bbk11- thank you again for the helpful feedback. I know I'm not the 1st to say this but I wish this forum was around years ago when I had absolutely no clue on what I was doing as far as detailing. Once I started searching around here, I realized how much more I needed to learn. So I spend hours...
Paint looks amazing, but what prep did you do before doing the spray sealant? I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see whipping out a bottle and spending 11 minutes and having it look THAT good. These looks like there was hours of cleaning and prep work before the sealant was applied. I have to say...
Some excellent information here and definitely answered some questions for me. Please excuse my noobieness here but I plan on doing my car again soon. The paint is in excellent condition but does have 1 or 2 areas with some pretty good scratches that will need to be compounded out. I plan on...
Thank you for the replies. I've tried all kinds of waxes over the years and detailed some cars unprofessionally. I've always had spotless cars myself. However, I am slightly addicted to spray waxes after almost every wash. I use Nanowax and Mother's reflections all the time. Love the stuff. I...
