They don't. Same way no one has to order from them. Some suggestions have been put forth (USPS and membership), and intentionally ignored. It would seem the shipping profits are an integral part of their business model.

Living in Florida (but not anywhere near where I can drive over and pick it up) is like getting hit twice - Once for the tax and again for the shipping. I too have had multiple orders in my cart, and walked away over tax/shipping. I know PBMG is focused on covering the cost of shipping, but...
