    Rupes pad stall

Rupes branded pads, mostly yellow foam/microfiber/wool and blue foam/microfiber/wool along with rupes polishes. We were taught in the bootcamp that Rupes is a system and their products are designed to go together so I've stuck with that. I have tried Oberk pads and polishes but found it made the...

    Rupes pad stall

Hi AG, been into paint correction for 10+ years, used a pc 7424xp for the longest time and have switched over to a LHR15 iii and Rupes mini lhr75e. I love the smooth action these provide. What I don’t like is the pad stalling I get. Cars tend to have more curves and edges than ever and I find...

How would you polish this section? First time burning an edge. Whoops…

Would you of used a 1/4" tape like mentioned above? Correct, no forced rotation. I agree this was my fault and operator error but was completely shocked when it happened as I use very short polishing cycles. I'm thinking the microfiber and wool pads I was using created too much heat along with...

How would you polish this section? First time burning an edge. Whoops…

Hello AG, been doing paint corrections for 10+ years and goofed today. Working on this 2018 Audi which had extremely hard paint. Was using my Rupes LHR15 Mark III and LHR75e to tackle the job. Variety of pads, 5" microfiber for the large sections and rupes blue wool for the small sections. This...

Wanting to detail full time - Looking for advice

Hello AG, Im wanting to go into full time detail but am lost on how to handle the whole mobile vs fixed location issue. Mobile definitely has its cost savings advantage but I live in Colorado and not sure how to go about dealing with our weather here around the year. For example today it never...

    Review: Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Coating

Would this coating be okay on satin or matte finishes, like wheels?

Water spots from si02 wash on ceramic coating!?!

I’ll give that a try. Yea trying to avoid doing any polish or re-coating. Seems like so much time down the drain. Interesting. It’s like the sio2 in the wash stains on the coating. I took a couple more pics. You can really see it in the shade. I made a little progress with it. I tried some...

Water spots from si02 wash on ceramic coating!?!

I actually tried re-washing the whole vehicle in the garage using the sio2 wash with no results. Very frustrating.

Water spots from si02 wash on ceramic coating!?!

I had some wolfgang paint prep that came in the profi ceramic kit I tried and no luck. I just tried distilled vinegar with no results as well

Water spots from si02 wash on ceramic coating!?!

Definitely weren't there prior to washing. Yes, kept the paint wet as I could, it can be a challenge here in Colorado as water basically evaporate immediately. I worked fast and immediately pulled it in the garage. I'll check out the carpro suggestion.

Water spots from si02 wash on ceramic coating!?!

Hello all. My 4Runner is coated with Wolfgang's Profi ceramic coating. I decided to do a simple hand wash today and used Wolfgang's uber sio2 soap which I've used before. I waited until our driveway was shaded as we live in Colorado and the lack of humidity makes washing vehicles impossible in...

    Review: Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Coating

How long should this coating last after being opened? I only used about half the bottle and it's been stored with the lid closed for about 2 months. Should this last awhile or is it no longer good?

    Review: Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Coating

I got a chance to use this product last night. Other than the bootcamp, this is the first ceramic coating I've applied myself. The application and removal was very user friendly. I did have a couple questions. 1. When watching for the coating to flash I noticed it almost looked to flash almost...

    Review: Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Coating

Just to clarify. Is the idea to work in a 2x2' area, let it flash, then wipe off and move to the next 2x2' area?

Touchless Car Wash Safe for Coatings?

I typically only use the high pressure soap, high pressure rinse and spot free. I stay away from all the wax or 'gloss enhancer' stuff I agree, you do end up building up a film. I'd love to be hand washing but in the winter its just tough. I wish I had a heated garage with floor drain, that...
