Does anyone here know what the solvent for most common car paints is? I need to repair a small scratch and want to know what I can use to clean up tools and brushes afterwards. Thanks, Mike PS - I have a Hyundai and do have the manufacturers touch-up paint.

I bough a bunch of micro fiber clothes online to use for wasting and drying. They are great for washing but suck for drying. What do you guys suggest for drying? The cloths I have are small and seem to just move the water around instead of absorb it. Thanks, Mike

I recently wanted to use some paint sealant, Blackfire Crystal Seal, but realized after washing that I would have to clay the paint to remove all contaminants. After doing that should I polish and then apply wax or can I polish and just use the paint sealant? Also, after doing all this isn't...

I was recently told Liquid Glass is a sealant, but Blackfire Crystal Seal and Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal are coatings. What's the difference? I'm confused. What I want is somthing that is easy to use, will protect my paint, give a good shine and NOT get caught in the edges of the hood...

I definitely do not want to use Liquid Glass (wasted my money there) because it sounds like a drag to get out of the edges of the hood bra and door edging. Are there any paint "sealants" that go on clear and won't muck up the edges of 3M PPF? Thanks, Mike

HMMM, most of those other products mentioned about say they are sealants as well. This is really confusing. All I want is something to protect my paint and make my car look really shiny! :-) So are Optimum Opti-Seal, Ultima Pain Guard Plus, Blackfire Crystal Seal, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid...

But I have heard that coatings like Liquid Glass, which dries like a haze and needs to be buffed (just like a wax) will leave that residue on the edges and it is a drag to try to remove. Is that not true? Mike
