i think my brand new car was repainted at the factory

I have a 2011 Jeep Patriot in Mineral Grey Metallic. I ordered the car and picked it up the day after it was delivered. After I brought it home and was doing a good walk around, I noticed the RH rear door had two very small dings. The paint was not damaged at all in the area of the dings. The...

i think my brand new car was repainted at the factory

I purchased a used 2003 Corvette last October. The build date for the car is 11/14/2002. I have a car report that indicates severe damage reported on 11/29/2002, left front impact with another vehicle, no mileage listed. These dates are only 15 days apart. Another entry in the car report states...

The wheel wells... I need to get the car on jack stands, pull the wheels, clean the backside of the wheel, the calipers, brake rotor hats and the wheel wells. There is not much room between the tire and the wheel wells with the wheels on.

Wow. The OND as a QD took off a layer of grime that Westleys Bleche Wite Tire Cleaner and a brush left behind. The tires now look as if they still have release agent on then. Not a bad look and not sticky. I used a MF on the wheels w/ the ONR QD and noticed no difference. The QD came in handy...

I picked up a 24 oz spray bottle while I was in town yesterday. I added 1 oz of ONR to 16 oz of filtered water to make a ONR QD. I will give the tires/wheels a little detail today and post the results. It seems many AG folks DO NOT like using ONR as a QD product on paint systems.

Just for you, TL! Thank you for the tip for using ONR as a tire dressing. No fling is a good thing.

    XPEL VS. 3M Clear Bra

Whatever you get, do it quickly after purchase. I have 3M on the front bumper/hood/fenders and mirrors of my C5. I wish I had it on the rear edge of my deck lid and area aft of the deck lid. You may also concider the area aft of the wheel wells. I would rather be upset that I see a wax line...

I failed to express myself correctly. The area of concern is on the paint of the hood, aft of the bra. The bra has (prior to the SD trip) a nice gloss/shine. Hmmm... I bet a pic would help. Huh, TL? :xyxthumbs:
