I meant D300 when I said that I have a new bottle of it, my apologies. I do like D300, but it doesn't have quite the cutting power of M105. I was curious if M101 was still the secret, European wonder-compound that it used to be or if anything newer has come out since? I'd go the microfiber...
Hello all! It's been a long while since I've posted as I haven't really been detailing much the last few years, but I have 4 cars coming to me and decided to buy a Rupes 15 Mark II HD.
I still currently use Surbuf pads and M105/205, but I'm curious what's come out in the last few years that...
Hey VISITOR! I am still around. Not detailing as much as I used to though. I have a full-time job, a wife and a 2-year old who I can't stand being away from for more than a few hours at a time, but yessir, I'm still here. :)
Honestly, I haven't used the MF system yet personally. I hear...
I'm looking at vans myself 2shiny. I'd go with a work van with internal shelving but mostly because I currently store all of my detailing equipment inside of a very small storage room attached to the house I'm renting and it's a pain to get everything in and out of it so I'd rather have a work...

1. M105/D300 - Depending whether I want to deal with M105 dust or not (I will admit that now that I can get M101 in the States, I may be switching from M105 based on the reviews and I'm very curious to try out WG Uber compound as well.)
2. M205/3M Ultrafina (depends on the paint I'm working...
Hey Mike, not to nit-pick, but being a BMW man myself, you've GOT to correct your original post. That's not a 5-series good sir, that's a 3-series. ;) Just wasn't sure you realized that. I have a 1992 BMW 325i (also lovingly referred t by the BMW community as an E36) and I also have a 2000 BMW...
I plan on reinforcing my arsenal with one of the new GG6 polishers, though I would really like to get my hands on a Flex 3401 one day, I just haven't needed one at all up to this point. :) I can't wait to get my hands on the new GG6 though. It looks much more ergonomically correct than the old...
Look up some of my work. Every car that I detail is done with the older model and the new one apparently has even more power. I have two of the older model GG6 and one has a 4" BP and the other has a 5" BP so I can switch out without having to change BPs.
Hey WRX...the bad rap about car dusters is just a bad rumor...if used properly, they are AMAZING at removing dust an pollen from your car. You don't use pressure with them, just run them lightly over the surface of your paint and it will remove the dust and pollen and not scratch your paint at...
Oh, and fyi, the wash alone removed most of the silicone but none of the oil spatter. The glass cleaner removed what was left of the silicone stain and all of the oil spatter.
Okay...so for anyone who runs across this issue as I have...here is what seems to absolutely work....and amazingly, I might add. Did a soak with my foamgun, followed with a hot water wash. I then dried it, let it sit in the sun for about ten minutes to make. Sure it was completely dry...
