I really do think it's a coding error. I remember maybe a year or two ago that there was a question about it. I believe Mike P addressed this issue and was supposedly working on it. try searching for the post.
Yeah I think it's the fake chrome. I'm almost positive it is. I don't have a pic but while I was coating my trim with DLUX I got a little on the fake chrome. It made the rainbow effect like when it rains and you can see where there has been oil on the ground.
I was thinking just waxing it but...
I have a 2016 Ford Fusion Energi. The grill is I think a chrome coating. What can I use to protect this. I was thinking DLUX but it seems to give sort of a rainbow effect to the metal. I have all the Black label coatings. Should I use one of those for the chrome?
I was in the same boat as you were at that age. I was an athlete in high school also. As I was graduating my parents had the talk with me. They said they'd pay for school but I had to follow what they wanted.

I just recently took off plasti dip off my buddies GSXR about 2 weeks ago. He sprayed it everywhere.
What I found that worked really well was turtle wax tar and adhesive remover.
While there really is no weather stripping he did get it on some rubber parts.
What I did was spray the part...
Try mineral spirits. It might work.
Recently I had to remove a friends plasti dip from his motorcycle fairings. On some parts it wasn't coming off. I tried mineral spirits and it would dissolve it after some rubbing with microfiber.
Another thing I tried was turtle wax adhesive remover. That...
I did let it soak in a 5 gallon bucket with about 3-4 oz of CG pad cleaner and 3-4 oz of Meg's APC. I filled with water and let them soak for 2 days. Still dirty.
What brand compound, and/or polish are you using? Or is it a AIO? Maybe someone has tips for that particular product.
Sorry about that. I should've mentioned earlier that I'm using the UHS compound from Rupes. It's their AIO compound designed for those specific pads
