Buy them now !!!! they are 25% off. LOL I do prime the pad out of habit. I do that with all pads especially with fiber pads. I understand the logic with the fiber pads but to be frank... I am not sure if it does anything for foam pads. Over the years, I learn not to over do it on foam pads...

Yes... they do cost more but they are very durable. I even used it on a gear driven DA and it held up well.

cut up an older 5" or 6" pad into 4 then go to town with it. Thats how I used to do all the tight spots prior to all the mini tools in the market now. It always lots of fun hand polishing the door handle cup by hand...:wowwow:.

From my experience... most spray on toppers on a coating only last 4-6 weeks at best. You could see the hydrophobic property degrades but it would come back after a wash with a good soap like Reset. That would tell you your coating is still intact.

I think you just open a can of worms.... LOL Technically speaking... a topper is not needed for a coating. As you said, a PH neutral tar or iron remover could unclog the coating and so would a good maintenance soap like Reset on a regular basis. A good complimentary topper to a coating...

You might not need an iron remover but if you are to decon and clay... why not take the extra step. The process doesnt take that much longer to do plus it would make the claying process easier. I dont use the traditional clay that much anymore (mostly clay mitts and towels) but I remembered...
