Based on all the relevant replies it sounds like the brush and a pole are great for doing large SUVs and trucks. I might buy one for that purpose and just stick with my MF mitts and pads for washing the cars.

So I'm contemplating buying a boars hair wash brush and just want to ask the people that have used one if they are worth the investment. If so, do they wash better than a MF mitt or save you time, etc? Basically, why do you like it and use it. TIA, Mike

Thanks for all the tips. I did the soak and agitate method with citrus based cleaner followed by a wash in hot water. I'll see how they work tomorrow. If still not up to par I'll go the dawn and or boiling water route. I may also try the air drying rather than in the dryer.

I've noticed that some of my waffle weave towels are not absorbing water as well as they used to. I only wash them in Mirco Restore and am not sure what is going on. I never use fabric softener on them and even rinse out the detergent bin before each wash to make sure there is no softener...

Thanks for the insight. I am using DA polishers. (PC and Flex) Will using a pad for a shorter period of time by rotating through 2 or 3 of them for a car reduce this effect? That way the pad would not be sujected to as much of the heat that apparently breaks down the foam.
