A friend of mine stopped by with his Lotus today in the hopes that I could help him remove some spots/blobs of something that got on the paint surface. I have never seen anything quite like this stuff before. It almost looks like little drops of glue of some type of adhesive. We have tried 3M adhesive remover, bug & tar remover, acetone, claybar, etc. with no luck. I was able to remove one or two blobs by carefully scraping them away, but due to the number of spots this would be an incredibly time consuming process and also a bit risky as far as potential paint damage. The links below are two pictures of the stuff.

Any suggestions on how to remove this stuff without damaging the pain would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

How about the Finishkare Decontamination Kit ???

Is that intended to soften/disolve something like this?

It's possible...I'm pretty sure that the Decontamination kit would get rid of it, but I would hold out for what Mike has to say, I'm sure he'll have a good solution for you :xyxthumbs:

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions so far. Mike, any suggestions for me?
