I have a metallic white car and it needs to be done every 1-2 months. I do it that often because you can see the iron particles on the back of the car and it bothers me. If you let it dry on the paint I'd imagine the purple from the iron might stain the paint. Sent from my Moto X

IMO almost everything they make is for well maintained vehicles and the strength is appropriate for those vehicles. You won't get very far on a vehicle that needs even a medium level of cleaning. Sent from my Moto X
