    Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Here's my Black Friday order. It's quite small compared to others on here! I've only ordered once before from Autogeek, and that was an even smaller order. So this was my first order from Autogeek that needed a bigger box with packing material. Likes: All items accounted for All items...

Using inexpensive MF Towels Instead Of A Wash Mitt

I use 4-8 MF towels for washing, depending on the size of the car and how much dirt is stuck on after a pre-rinse and/or foam. The idea is that once you wipe with one side the microfiber towel, you should probably flip to a different (clean) side. If you're careful, you can also use the same...

    $25 to polish a car!!!!!!!

I think Joe's point is that the other "detailer" you mentioned in the very post of this thread is charging $105 for a full detail and polish. How long does this guy spend doing this? If he's spending 3 hours, he is also making $35 an hour just like you.

    Post Your Beading Shots!!!

Opti-Coat 2.0 from the roof of a Honda Accord (if I remember correctly). Applied around early July 2013, picture taken about 2 months later early in the morning after a freak'ish overnight rain storm.

    Post Your Beading Shots!!!

Old school stuff... One Grand Blitz Carnauba Wax on the hood (bonnet) of a Subaru Outback. The wax was applied about two weeks before this photo.

    Wheel wells

You must clean your wheels daily, got different brake pads which don't dust much, or you don't drive a German car which is notorious for brake dust even within a week of moderate driving. :) Back to the OP... I use whatever APC I happen to have (e.g., Meguiar's APC), and then Armor All to...

    car wash frequency after opticoat

Car wash frequency and opticoat have nothing to do with each other. Your car will still get dirty with or without opticoat and you will need to clean it at whatever frequency you feel like. The difference with opticoat is that the actual cleaning will be easier since dirt and other light...

Year 3.5 Mobile Business - Goods and Bads

Good to know you're factoring in 9 days of vacation in the year, but that means you're working most weekends too. What about national holidays? :) I don't think you're giving yourself enough time off, unless of course, doing 1 car actually takes very little time so you still have most of the...

Using ONR w/ wax leaving scratches

If you already start with rinsing the car, why can't you rinse it again after washing it? In your case, I would definitely check to make sure you wash and dry media/towels/mitts are clean, doesn't have lint or hair stuck to them, etc.

    2002 Honda Civic VTEC Detail

Looks a lot better now. Great job! How long did it take you do the exterior by hand? The steering wheel looks like a lost cause. :)

    A gift from the dealership

This is quite normal at the vast majority of car dealerships. They (dealerships) are looking to clean the cars as quickly as possible; they're definitely not looking to preserve or maintain flawless paint. Why don't you name names and share with us what dealership this is and where?

    Which Menzerna polish for what?

Probably not. You'd probably want at least a medium strength polish like PF2500 using a medium aggressive pad.

1" wheel woolies lug brush P.O.S.

Maybe I have a bad batch, and even though mine aren't falling apart, I always lose a few brush hairs every time I use my RaceGlaze brushes. They're still quite functional, and there's plenty of brush left, so it's not a problem. Yet. :)
