Have an AR Blue 383. Been trouble free for 3 years. I only do 3 cars in the house plus 5 more from family members. PSI is one thing but GPM is just as important, in my opinion. My AR runs an MTM foamer with no problem. Works great at cleaning wheels, tires and wheel wells.
Thanks Mantilgh, exactly right.
Sorry buddy01, I wasn't real clear on that. Set the boards in front of the tires and leave about an inch or two of the outside edge of the tire where it won't be on the board. The tire being raised on the board creates a gap between tire and driveway. Seems...
Waxing is fine on a high ender like your Tiffin or a Prevost, but careful when waxing the lower end units as most of the graphics are vinyl. Something like 303 has to be used so as not to dry out the stickers. Also, don't get too upset about doing those big boys. Most of the RV service...
I bought a $12 HVLP spray gun from Harbor Freight. I set the compressor around 15psi and spray the tire. Gets into all the cracks and tread blocks pretty well. I tried tile sponges, flocked brushes, etc. Didn't get the look I wanted.
Also, cut 4 sections of 2x6 about 14"-16" long. Place...
you may be thinking of a freshly painted car from a body shop??
those are the wash only with water after 30 and don't wax until 3 months kinda thing, or so I've heard. I had my daughters Civic rear bumper cover replaced and sprayed and when I asked the body shop guy about when I could wash it...
Wow! jms493, you gave new meaning to the commercial, "they lived". Sounds like everyone's ok now?
What color are you getting on the new Subbie?? You should take your pics of the detailed one in a ask the dealer if they have one that clean.
Very well done...especially for a 1st time. I don't know what tools you have, but another option:
1. Meguiars Ultimate Compound
2. DA polisher
3. orange pad
A few dots on a primed pad, set the machine on the highest speed setting and let it's do it's thing.
Works great.
I may have missed it but is this tool a direct drive, like the Flex? It seems reading "standard throw DA polishers" may have answered my question but I want to be sure. I own a Porter Cable, and like it, but after using a friends Flex, that direct drive was what got me excited!
Are you referring to when they begin to fade a bit? Mine are almost 5 years old and around the 3 year mark I noticed the drivers side wouldn't "bead" water after I cleaned it. The passenger mat would. I assume from not being beat up as much. The driver's mat still looks black, just gets more...
Nice work!
Judging from the background, it looks like this bath was still a little chilly....
I'm in Atlanta and we aren't real familiar with that white stuff on the ground. I have a 2010 F150 that took forever to get the "polish" off after I took delivery of it, even though I asked them not to...
I would try a mild cleaner like Meguiars D10101. I always start with a 3:1 ratio just because I'm chicken to use any cleaner full strength first pass.
Anything heavier could remove more than you want
