    Greetings from Chattanooga TN

Welcome from a fellow 'Noogan! There is lots of great info and products here. Lets not forget the people! I've been "out of the game" for most of this year. I'm trying to play catch-up myself! Again, welcome!

    Great Weather and Detailing

What an awesome day!!! The sun was shining, the APC+ was flowing, the Porter Cable was humming. . . It doesn't get much better than that!!! We got a lot done today! :buffing: We doubled up on a Laser Red Infiniti G Coupe and a Stratus Grey BMW 650i. Hopefully next weekend the weather will be...

How long can you safely leave dead bugs on front bumper?

There's nothing lovely, about love-bugs. . . . Those little creatures of the epitome of all that is evil to paint. The pic below was from a road trip to/from central FL. Those bugs are BRUTAL! I didn't have the luxury of washing my truck immediately when I returned home. I did hit a coin-op...

Do you remove the seats on a INTERIOR DETAIL?

I'll always remove them, IF I can. Especially on an interior DETAIL (vs interior freshen-up). IMO, it makes vacuuming so much easier, allows for more room to move and they're usually not that hard to remove. Plus, stray debris under the seats will almost always find it's way to your freshly...

ShowcarMD: F350 Super Duty (Interior Only)

I didn't even open the bissell!! But I have one for when I need it.I thought I'd need it, but the APC+/nylon brush did everything I needed it to do! Yea, I meant APC+. I was skeptical to use it on the leather. I did a spot test and the rest is history!! Thanks D, it was killing me to have to...

ShowcarMD: F350 Super Duty (Interior Only)

That's actually mine. :) I just upgraded to the Passport-IQ. I absolutely love it!! The signal lockout feature is awesome!!! I just don't care for having a "bulky" GPS unit on the windshield at all times. The socket-set is actually mine. . . I did find an adult DVD under the rear seat! I...

ShowcarMD: F350 Super Duty (Interior Only)

I used that fact as part of my price negotiation . . . Truth be told I got a SUPER deal on this truck. I actually don't have much use for a Super Duty but I got it a great price so I couldn't pass it up!!

ShowcarMD: F350 Super Duty (Interior Only)

This is my new (to me) work truck that I just purchased. I couldn't believe the condition of the interior was in when I bought it. I found everything from coffee, soda, blood and what I think was vomit. I'll simply let the pictures speak for themselves...

ShowcarMD: Infiniti G37 Convertible (Moderate Scratch Correction)

Hi all, I wanted to share a few pics of one of my latest projects. The owner of this G37 was ran off the road into some bushes and acquired some pretty nasty scratches down the passenger side of the car. (Sadly, other driver didn't even stop!!) I was able to remove about the scratches down the...

    decal removal

I just removed the (old) business lettering from my new work truck. I used a hair-dryer and a plastic razor. I removed the residue/glue with mineral spirits. I then claybarred to remove the final tid-bits. I really wish I could have found a rubber-eraser wheel. That would have cut my time in...

    ShowcarMD: 2011 Infiniti M56S

Thanks for the comments! I used Eagle One's wadding cloth. The M's exhaust tips are clearcoated. The wadding cloth dissolves the exhaust soot and road grime pretty well.

    ShowcarMD: 2011 Infiniti M56S

I got to do my first job of the 2011 season. The car was purchased in April of '10 and had about 11k miles on it. It had never been waxed prior to me detailing it today. The interior had been kept up pretty well so I didn't really have to do a whole lot beyond dusting/vacuuming. I didn't do...
