Yeah I was going to get that kit along with some extra pads. So it won't affect my outcome if switch to LC pads half way through my correction/polish? Where in SW PA are you from?

I think I've changed my mind and am going to go with this kit along with some extra griots orange and black pads unless there is reason to stick with lake country ones? It's a little more economical buying it in the kit and I get the stuff to wash and re-use them this way. Griot’s Garage...

Now I might be even more confused. There's so many acronyms used it's tough to follow what everyone is suggesting. First I should ask... when using a DA - can you use it both with and without a backing plate? If you use a backing plate do you still use the same pads? If not, when and when not...
