Megs Ultimate Compound should do the trick and it's easy to find. It worked for me and it does well by hand if you do not own a machine.

Your approach for the Ranger looks good to go. The only thing I would suggest: use a white pad with the 205. And remember to clean your pads as you go. On the fly is the technique I use.

Unless you let your auto get really bad with dirt, I don't really see the need for a foam gun. I have one, however, I don't use the foam gun on any of my cars because I wash them once a week. But for customers who haven't washed their cars in a while I do use the gun to make washing easier. I...
