I did this a couple of months ago but recently came across these photos on my computer and decided to post them here. I do not have the before pictures but the paint only had minor swirl marks.
I used Chemical Guys Mr. Pink shampoo (I love the smell :D ), Flex 3401 with Chemical Guys black hex...
More experienced members will chime in. But I think the swirl remover you are using is not abrasive enough to remove your swirl marks. There was a paint and clear coat toughness chart on here somewhere along with the best combination of pads and compounds for each make. I'm sure someone can...
I actually bought a flex 3401 as my first dual action polisher just over a month ago. I really love it, but I cannot compare it to anything else, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't trade it fit anything
I have a similar question to what the op has except it's not how clean I can get my wheels but how safe is it to use it on my wheels. I have an 05 accord with rings that look pretty similar in shape and finish as the ones that the op posted a picture of. It's meguiars wheel brightener safe to...
I actually polished my 05 nighthawk black accord. The paint was very soft. I was able to get an almost perfect finish with just chemical guys v38 on a white pad and orange pad with v36 for bad areas.
So on Saturday I finally got the time to polish my car for the first time. This was my first ever paint correction. I take pretty good care of my car on the inside and wax it at least once a month. You can see my first post I made about my car in this thread.
So I received my Flex 3401 bundle...
I see. Thank you for the link.
So it basically removes iron containing particles underneath the surface that a clay bar would not be able to remove. I think I will try it in the future, but right now I have my tuition to worry about :p
Forgive me for the noob question, but I've come across many posts that talk about iron X. Some people use it on wheels, sold use it on paint, what I want to know is what does it really do, and is there any additional benefits vs just a clay bar
From what I've been reading, steamers have a tip temperature around 200°F. That should be safe to use pretty much anywhere. I also want to buy this steamer, but I just bought a bunch of stuff, so I'm currently in the process of saving up for this steamer.
I just recently got a flex 3401 and a big order from CG. Haven't tried either yet, but I will use them on my accord this weekend. This will be my first paint correction ever.
I received my chemical guys order today, and I can't stop sniffing all the products :p Mr pink smells like cherry...
