Craftsman 100' all rubber (black) hose... never kinks and fits perfectly on my Ely hose cart. Takes little to no effort to reel in when wrapping up. :xyxthumbs:
I'm using a 1/4" single wire PW hose on my SPX3000 from Kleen-rite. Super high quality (made by Continental) and is in near mint condition after two seasons of use. Only cost $60 + some 3/8" MTM adapters.
50' Black 1/4" Single Wirebraid Hose with 3/8" Ends - Kleen-Rite Corporation
I run a 2.0 orifice nozzle with my SPX3000 and feel the pressure is perfect for car washing. I too tested PSI levels with every orifice size MTM offers and i liked the 2.0 the most (for my needs).
My results:
25 deg tip with 2.0 orifice = 1300psi
40 deg tip with 2.0 orifice = 1400psi
Running...
For me its all i need... I only detail my car and the wife's car. Its more or less a place for me to keep the tools i use for washing my car's in one spot. Granted i have a 6' cabinet in the garage to house my gallon refills and MF towels.
here's mine.... The black PVC pipe holsters my SGS28 gun and Mozmatic lance from OG. Works like a charm as i make my way around my car or the wife's car when washing :xyxthumbs:
I run 2.0 with my spx3000 and she runs very nicely. I did a pressure test and 2.0 orifice seems to yield the highest PSI (1300-1400), 2.5 stepped it down a bit to around 1100. Cant go wrong with either in my opinion. I just wished these units had a higher flow rate.
Anything by Montauk, Brooklyn, Dubco or BluePoint... I favor most of our local brewer's here on LI/NYC area.
few runners up...
Lexington Brewing - Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale
Cigar City - florida cracker and invasion pale ale
Pipe Works - lil citra (session india pale ale)
Weihenstepganer...
I keep used pads in quart sized zip lock bags and then inside a lockable bin i bought at Walmart (roughly 14"x6"x6") One bin for just pads and the other holds my Griot's DA's (3", 6.5" and all the backing plates).
You could buy a 10x20 party tent with zip on side walls and make a of garage out of it. I may buy one myself... I can only imagine the looks id get from my neighbors having this setup on the driveway, lol ;)
This was right after a quick wash, clay and spray wax. Still needs my annual two stage correction to get rid of some light swirl marks i added over the winter while washing her
