What's the approximate depth of light swirling? Just after a very approximate value. Reason for asking is that Apex have just released a video about machine polishing swirl marks out of a coating. (I'm sceptical)

I'd like to transfer the contents of my 50mL bottle of CSL to a syringe, to maximise shelf life after opening. Has anyone tried this? Any tips? Any reason not to attempt it?

Note that I used it shortly after opening, but I bought it ages ago - well past it's shelf life. I still have some left, but it's now gone all cloudy, so I presume it has started to cure. It's definitely going in the bin. Btw, I did also run the car through a couple of automated touchless washes...

And - I think my application of CSL has failed already. I noticed very pronounced "blotches" when I sprayed water on the surface (mainly looking at the hood at the moment), and these could not be removed by thorough cleaning. I even started to get worried that the clearcloat was starting to fail...

I just use waterless - too much hassle to use a pressure washer of any description for me - I did try it. Currently experimenting with a coating to see whether it reduces the amount of swirling I get - I'm not expecting miracles.

I'm very impressed with how easy it is to buff Megs Synthetic Xpress Wax to a streak-free finish, and I've actually been using it regularly as an "LSP" on my windshield. It doesn't have great longevity, but that's fine. The *only* complaint is that it can cause a bit of wiper chatter, which...
