    Wheel Wax for BMW Wheels

If you are concerned about the brake dust, I have found that the armour all wheel protectorate spray keeps the brake dust off. It makes a huge difference. It's $7 at walmart give it a try.

You guys are making way too much sense. How am I going to feed my OCD with you guys all telling me I'm nutts! :dblthumb2:

Ceramic clear coat needs rotary for correction?

Thanks all for your comments, I don't have a thickness gauge as this is just a hobby for me and my car. I thought the orange CC pad was pretty aggressive. Perhaps I need to talk to someone in GA that does this for a living...

Ceramic clear coat needs rotary for correction?

Question to all the pro's out there. Is it fair to say that if you have to do some real correction work to get rid of some isolated RIDS, on the ceramic clear coats ( like BMW) you have to use a rotary tool? I'm using the 7424XP DA with the orange pad and Menzerna Super Intensive Polish. I've...

    Orange Peel?

Thanks for the moral support. I'm just exploring how difficult it is to fix. Seems pretty daunting. M

    Orange Peel?

Excellent question and one that I do not have the answer to off the top of my head. It's a titanium silver metallic. Maybe paint code 354???

    Orange Peel?

I found this write up on wet sanding BMW's. Apparently BMW's have terrible orange peel by default: BMW E92 M3 Ultimate Wetsand By KDS - Detailing World However the clear coat is typically very hard and very thick.

    Orange Peel?

I'm looking for some input about what appears to be orange peel on my silver BMW 2008 535i. I've used some M105 on it with a white pad and topped it off with M205 with a softer pad. However all over the car it looks like the factory paint has orange peel. I just don't feel like I'm getting...

I think I'm creating swirl marks...

An update: I used the white pad with the ultimate polish and I was finally able to get some swirl marks out. My uneducated theory is that BMW clear coat is super hard. I tried using the green pad with Meguire's Ultimate compound ( I think it's equivalent to M105) and that wasn't taking many...

I think I'm creating swirl marks...

Thanks Mike, and all for your replies. I do appreciate the time spent replying to my posts. This car is 3 years old and just purchased from a dealership that does prep work to the cars ( aka polishing work ) so it looks pretty good, however I suspect that they used some type of glaze that hid...

I think I'm creating swirl marks...

I did some additional testing and taped off a small area and once again tested the Meguire's ultimate polish glaze on an area and I definitely created some minor swirl marks and it didn't even get rid of the water etching marks I was looking to get rid of. At this point I'm going to take a step...
