I got my R8 in June. Came in an envelope. Dealer did no prep work. Took it home, washed it with Dawn and clayed it. Waste of time. No contaminates. You can see delivery of my car on You Tube. Punch in "red audi R8 delivery". Good luck with yours.
It's the single best and most effective tool that I've discovered since signing on to AG. A bucket of water and soap and I can completely wash and clean the entire width of the wheel. I actually use a 3" paint brush to wash the face of the wheel.
I used it on top of the wax. It just deepened the shine. By the end of the day it would kind of evaporated but I just wanted the best look for that day event.
I used to restore corvettes. They were over restored according to NCRS standards. I had flawless paint on 60 black convertible and 54 red roadster. When I went to car shows and cruise-ins, nothing came close to dripping wet more than #7.
