Over the winter my car encountered many blemishes to the front hood. The hood was replaced when I bought the car, so the paint is brand new - yet it is the most damaged part of my paint. I suspect they didn't put a good clear coat on it but I'm not sure - I don't know how to tell such things...

I have a Samsung ST65, but I think my Samsung Galaxy S3 might take better pictures. I will try taking a photo of the sun on my paint - that might work better. Thanks for that.

I see a lot of pictures online of cars before and after detailing. I take note of the swirl marks, paint imperfections, and get jealous. There's no way my cheap camera can capture that kind of detail. Are there any specific features that detailers look for in digital cameras? I imagine...

If you are working on one particular area of your car, maybe try setting up a tripod so you don't have to fiddle with the camera. I use my phone... So I have to take it out, unlock it, launch the camera app, then take the picture. What a pain!

I just tried this and the shine only lasts a day. How many coats do you apply for a nice deep shine?

My biggest problem with products so far has been: it literally eats the tire away! After a few months of trying various products I couldn't even read how many PSI to put into my tires. The other problem of course is that the shine doesn't last.

What is your favorite, longest lasting deep gloss tire product? I cannot get enough of shiny tires. I used to use Turtle Wax Black Tire Coat, but it is no longer available in stores near my apartment. I recently tried Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel and it lasted about a day :( Thanks in advance!

Mine didn't come with a manual, so I'm assuming you put it in the bucket and fill with soap and water. Once you start washing don't agitate the bucket; don't spray the nozzle down into the it, shake the bucket too much, etc. From my experience it helps to fill the bucket up to the top with soapy...

If you don't use a Grit Guard I feel bad for you son. I've got 99 problems, but grit ain't one. :D

Haven't tried it yet but every time I open my hood I think to myself, "This engine compartment could use a good cleaning."
