SpeedFreak Detailed: $200,000 custom black 1957 Corvette - full correction

Nicely done. I'm so old, I can barely get down on my knees, let along lay down and buff. Thank goodness I have access to a lift. Again, very nice.

    No lying. Let's be honest.

My own may see Ultimate Wash and Wax Anywhere, clients get the full treatment. Did an F350 with crew cab awhile ago and used rolling scaffolding and a step ladder to get on the scaffold. It even had a fuel tank in the bed to stand on and still needed scaffold.

    Micromarring with FLEX 3401

Oops. Let me correct myself - a PC, a microfiber DA pad and D300 and M105 can "create" significant marring. Using a Flex and M205 was able to remove said marring. Also suggest review the discussion of CeramiClear and also search the forums for a discussion of "delicate" paint.

    Micromarring with FLEX 3401

I wasn't aware Meguiar's made a bonnet. I might suggest stop using the bonnet to remove wax. Speed 4 is also fairly fast and perhaps too aggressive. Using M205, a soft pad and your Flex set at 3 should be good combination working the M205 gently and with a light touch until it becomes clear...

    What sealant for black paint?

Meguiar's Ultimate Wax will give you slightly longer duration in similar conditions on a similarly prepared finish. Excellent reflections too. UW needs to cure. Curing allows a process called interlinking to take place. If you overcoat it or apply a second coat to insure coverage, 12 hours in a...

    First Impression: Meguiar's Black wax

Flip the lid, the opener is on the lid. I've used White Wax on a black car and love it. I like all-in-ones. Can't wait to try Black Wax. Thanks for the review and nicely done car.

Wolfgang DGPS vs. Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax

Sometimes when removing it you would see streaking. The streaks could be removed by lightly dampen your microfiber and buff again. The suggested method is to lay down a thin layer of liquid UW and buff off in 3 to 5 minutes. Too thick can lead to streaking. The streaks will also dissipate on...

    Personal opinion on Hybrids

I found a shiny obsidian black paint job, that just happened to have a crossover hybrid under it. I polish it often and drive about 25,000 miles a year. We are happy together. Getting 25-27 mpg, which is secondary to the comfort and paint job. Probably since this is my second one in three...
