    Hard or soft paint

Thanks Abrcrombe, i found out the hard way with the Nissan. I screwed the paint up pretty bad. The worst was my Suzuki bike, gorgeous liquid looking red, just looking at it with the wrong attitude would scratch it though.

    Hard or soft paint

In general japanese cars have a softer clearcoat. I know my old Maxima, a '95 was either very soft or not clearcoated. I've read some manufacturers don't CC black cars. Toyota was mentioned specifically. My car now ('04 BMW) is much more durable. It's Silver Grey Metallic. You could try having a...

I think most of them are ... "don't know- don't care" They would also consider spending anything more than 12 bucks for a "detail" a waste of money.

I think there's a chance of the glass shattering if there's enough damage. A jolt from a pothole or something similar could trigger the breakage. The windshield is a structural element of the car. Just a thought to give you a heads up.

Giant softball sized crack in windshield!!!!

They say bad things come in sets of three... so you won't have anymore windshield issues. Seriously, sorry about the bad luck. At least you weren't hurt. It sounds like it could have caused a bad accident. Do you have to pay for the windshield? Here in MA we have no copay for glass. (the only...
