Pinnacle Diamond Coating on Fiskar Karma ES

Thank you. My wife says I don't brag enough so she brags for me.:D I still can't get over how much easier it is these days to get a car looking like this due to the advancements in product and equipment. I think everyone should have to detail a car old school so they can really appreciate...

Show & Shine: "Big Red" meets Pinnacle Black Label Surface Coating

Really nice job Dr. Pain. :dblthumb2: A foam applicator is most common. Lake Country has a new one out that looks to be good for most surfaces. Lake Country Coating Applicator I still like the round foam apps for getting in tight spots. DP prep works as good or better than any of the...

Stoner Trim shine Vs. More shine less time ?

Trim Shine is a thicker silicone and goes on a bit heavier. I believe they both have the same properties beyond that.

Can you identify this brand of liquid detailer?

Could be Prima Hydro but I'm not sure a car wash would spend the money even though it's dilutable.

I need a lesson in Tact. Help

I see where you are coming from but I don't agree in regards to resale value. A car taken care of properly is going to bring a higher price when sold or at the very least be much easier to sell. Swirls (marring) shouldn't be the only consideration when comparing a service like mine to a car...

I need a lesson in Tact. Help

Maybe I need a lesson in tact too. When people post up things like this I assume it's a young guy with no business sense trying to get work by being cheap, thus ruining the market. I know that's how I was 20 years ago. Oh and you're right I am under paid for what I do.:D

I need a lesson in Tact. Help

I didn't mean to offend or to say I'm better. Your area might not support the same prices mine does. My point is there are cheap people period and I tried to avoid them. Just today I had a client who was cheap with me. I gave her a discounted introductory price and she tried to talk me down...

I need a lesson in Tact. Help

My base detail is $150 and have to deal with customers comparing me to guys who charge $100. Not trying to be rude but it's all relative. These people who go with these super cheap "details" are the people who don't care about their car and would rather go to McDonald's to eat than Applebies...

Been very impressed with Opti-Coat so far!

I think you guys have convinced me. No warranty for now. Maybe I will offer a warranty as an up-sell to the opti-coat.:D

Been very impressed with Opti-Coat so far!

No not technically. I do give a satisfaction guarantee but that's mainly on how the car looks when I'm done not so much guaranteeing durability. With an expensive up sell, customers are going to want a warranty on durability ( I know I would ). Most of the other "never wax again" products...

Been very impressed with Opti-Coat so far!

I've used it on the wife's van and it's been on about a month now. Two things I have noticed so far; All the coated surfaces come clean easier. I notice a difference on how clean the van stays. The bugs wash off with very little effort. No worries of stripping the sealant off when you're...

Been very impressed with Opti-Coat so far!

Just ordered some today. I was told the $100 size is enough to do 4 cars. Did you use it all on one car?

In Need Of a M105 Replacement

I agree. Slower buffing speed and in shade is probably going to fix your dusting issue. Adding a little 205 or even Ultimate Compound does help as well with dusting as mentioned. You will definitely get faster cutting with the 105 but if speed isn't an issue the Ultimate Compound is the way to...

2010 black Hyundai Genesis - swirled, etched and oxidized!

 I agree with Meghan. Hyundai sure made a leap in style this year. I found myself drooling a little at the Hyundai commercials during the super bowl. Never thought I'd see that day. Nice job. :dblthumb2:
