    Alcohol wipe down question

What about using a IPA wipe down to remove old wax before applying new? Doing so would give the new wax or sealant a better bonding surface to provide longer lasting protection

    finishing out hazy

I agree with to much polish as I have done the same thing. I had a pro detailer polish my car with menzerna 106ff with a obrital and the amount of polish used was shocking! On a pad 4 dots were use thats it per section. Like killer said hazing is from not heating up the polish enough to do its job.

Wheel Cleaner that won't strip wax?

Use a dedicated washing towel for your wheels only so you dont have that crap end up on your paint. Reason sealants work so well on wheels is the sealant can stand up to the heat the wheels take on from the brakes. Some sealants are good to 400*f carnuba will melt off at 100- 125*f Sealants are...

Chicagobob Detailed: 11 Second Talon TSi

Next time we will take better pics. The last pics really show the color depth of the paint. The car will have a bigger turbo set up next year for that 10 second pass. This year was dedicated to restoring the body and paint.

Will a sealant bond to glaze?

This has been a question of mine and I havent found a rock solid answer. On a properly prepped/ polished surface will a glaze affect the bonding of the sealant to the paint. From what I understand the glazes have alot of fillers/oils in them that I would think affect the sealant from bonding...

Getting fish hooks with PC newbie

I was wondering if I should back the pad selection down to a white polishing pad with the SSR2.5 at this point, and then finish off with the SSR1 with a fresh white pad? I also think I need to pick my movement speed up some I think I was close to 2 inches per second. This takes practice for...
