How to remove glass contamination? Or is it..

I used FLEX DA polisher and the following steps: Step 1: LC glass leveling disks with CeriGlass polish at speed 6 (DA) Step 2: Griot's glass polishing disks (less abrasive) with CeriGlass polish at speed 5(DA) Step 3: Diamondite Glass poly-shield applied by hand. I was able to remove small...

    Waxed Wheels Maintenance?

Opti-coat = Opti-Seal? I drive BMW 5er, the OEM brake pads create unrivaled black mess, especially on the front. The wheels get dirty after 1 day of light driving. I sealed my new wheels with Klasse High Gloss sealant - I put that chit on everything :props: I use car wash soap (insert...

How to remove glass contamination? Or is it..

Diamondite Glass resurfacing creme was discontinued by a manufacturer. I am ordering CeriGlass polish instead and glass cutting pads, but every vendor out there is out of LC glass polishing pads, any tips on what I could use instead? Thanks :props:

How to remove glass contamination? Or is it..

I sure noticed the thinner paints, esp on BMW who now use water-based paint, and paint job quality is crap too IMHO. I did not know about car glass, thanks for info, this is astounding :( I do keep about double distance between me and a car in front of me comparing to an average driver out...

How to remove glass contamination? Or is it..

Good question, I am not 100% sure myself. The dots are so small that when I run a finger over them I barely feel maybe 3 out of 20 of the dots, which leads me to believe these are tiny pits. Especially after razor blade failed to remove them. Do I have to "level" the glass now? Is it easy...

How to remove glass contamination? Or is it..

I got lots of tiny shiny spots on my car's glass, most of it is on driver side windows, and some on passenger side. I think they appeared after the car came back from bodyshop (for a bodykit installation), and of course they deny everything. At first I though it was a stray spray of clear coat...

    Polishing pad damage

Yeah, I myself do not see a reason to replace it, but was wondering what other peeps do. Working on a 70K car right now, so kinda afraid to screw things up :buffing: Haha, I sure will, but I thought baseball gloves work better. So what is the sign of a wearing out pad? I have some that are...

    Polishing pad damage

Just got my new 4" polishing pads yesterday for my DA PC 7424(?) polisher. Applied compound, tried switching pads, and while removing it from velcro pad fastener, fingers slipped and bit the chunk out of the pad. See picture. My question is should I toss this pad or can I still use it? And what...

    Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA)

I am drowning in abbreviations here, but I may be asking the same question as a person above. Just before the sealant, I apply paint cleanser, which in my case is normally of the same brand as a sealer, e.g. I use 4start paint cleanser followed by 4start UPP sealer. The cleansers usually say...
