Time to step it up, PE14-2 or 3401?

A little background, I've been using the PC 7424XP for the past few years now and I've had some great results but I find it takes me a significant amount of time to complete a single job. I usually take anywhere from 13-16 hours to get through some good paint correction (no wet-sanding) for...

    Wearing out pads too quickly

That's the one! I don't think I put it on when I first got my PC. I called PC today and they shipped one out to me free of charge. :xyxthumbs: I've read up on it before. When I get some free time I will definitely give it a shot. Thanks for the advice!

    Wearing out pads too quickly

i dont think this is the case but i am definitely going to check the clearance to see if the spacer is necessary. it could be that i need to slow the speed down to 5 (i dont think the PC has .5 increments). thats exactly it, it seems as if the heat build up is transferring through to the pad...

Gear: XP7424 with 5.5" LC CCS white, orange, yellow pads and Optimum polish II I would imagine that these pads are capable of doing more than one vehicle. I seem to be wearing out the centers after a single vehicle and I am look for some feedback as to what I am doing wrong. When using these...

    Optimum Hyper Compound Spray

Gear: XP7424 with 5.5" LC CCS white, orange, yellow pads I'm still relatively new to paint correction but I've been working at it when I can. I finally got around to using Optimum Hyper Compound Spray for the first time. The finish on my vehicle's paint was very poor and decided to try the...

KISS Detail - Extreme Makeover - Toyota Highlander

Awesome job. I've only ever used XMT360 with green and white CCS pads. I never thought of using it with orange or yellow. So did the orange or yellow CCS pads end up swirling or maring the paint?

2010 VW Golf - New Car Protection Pkg.

This past Saturday I had a customer bring by a 4 door 2010 VW Golf for my 'New Car Protection' package. When I received the car it was fairly clean and real easy to spot some very minor swirling. With a the new car package I would normally just use a pre-wax cleaner but I felt this was the...
