amount of optimum polish ii

just bought this to use as a light to medium polish but instructions say to use enough for a barrier between paint and pad-it says it wont clog the pad either-so should i consider this as to put a few pea size drops on or a x pattern-i will be useing pc 7424 xp

x pattern is perfectly fine then follow up with single lines. give it a shot and get a feel for it. optimum polishes are very friendly and easy to use.
