How to restore matte black finish to hard tonneau cover?

I would try Solution Finish. I've used in for roof racks that have faded and it works well. Seal it with WETS.

    Post your vacuum cleaner

This Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac is 33 years old. It's outlasted two Professional Shop Vacs, had the wheels replaced, the plug replaced and has the hose extension from my old Shop Vac making it 12' long. When I first bought this it was used in my shop for cleanup and as a dust collector for...

    Duragloss Car Wash.

I've been using Duragloss Wash since July almost exclusively in an MTM Hydro PF22 Foam Cannon. I was previously using Pinnacle Bodywork shampoo and liked it too. I'm adding about the same amount to the foam cannon bottle and the foam is great. The scent is not that big a deal. The price per...

Should I clay before winter or after?

I use Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay with their Clay Lube and don't get any marring with it. I do the baggie test first and if the surfaces are rough I clay the entire vehicle. This is a fine clay and I use it a couple times a year on my vehicles before applying wax or sealant.

    Clay Bar Question

I've been using Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay with their Clay Lube for a number of years. While some more aggressive clay can cause marring requiring polishing, I find that Ultra Poly Clay does not cause marring on my vehicles clearcoat. I go right to LSP after claying and frequently check the...

Dealing with Dust on "Garage Queen"

My truck sits in my shop as well and hasn't been used regularly due to having a take home vehicle from work. Any time you are using a saw, router, sander, etc. the fine dust is going to get airborne and settle on your truck. I would back mine outside of the shop whenever I needed to work on...

    Side Step

Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant works well for this. I have full length running boards on my Ram 1500 and use WETS to treat the black plastic. It can be slippery after applying but that goes away after a couple of washes. Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant, rubber protectant, metal protectant...

    Protectant for exterior vinyl?

Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant works well for exterior plastic, vinyl, etc. It last for several months on my daily drivers parked outside 24/7.

    This Pollen Thing!

I use Liquid Souveran on my vehicles as well and during the spring when the pollen gets bad I hit them with the pressure washer and blow dry with the leaf blower. When I do a full wash with the foam cannon (when the cars are really dirty after rain), I'll use Pinnacle Spray Wax or DG Aquawax as...

    Wolfgang Über SiO2 Coating Wash

I took a photo of my work vehicle after using the coating wash and drying it off.

    Wolfgang Über SiO2 Coating Wash

I mixed up just enough to fully cover one vehicle using about a 1/4" of coating wash mixed with a 1/3 filled bottle on my MTM PF22 foam cannon. I had a feeling the suds wouldn't last so I pressure washed the entire vehicle (that really wasn't too dirty) first, cleaned the wheels and tires with...

    Wolfgang Über SiO2 Coating Wash

I recently purchased Wolfgang Über SiO2 Coating Wash and plan to try it out tomorrow when the weather warms to the mid-40's. Has anyone tried this product in a foam gun or foam cannon and how much did you add to the bottle? I usually add about 1/4" to the foam cannon bottle measured up the...

McKee's Tire Coating w/Sonax Rim Shield

Had I known the Rim Shield would interfere with the tire coating I wouldn't have tried to top coat the tires, I would have applied tire coating first and let it dry and come back the next day with the Rim Shield and sealed the wheels. Lesson learned. I did check the wheels after scrubbing the...

McKee's Tire Coating w/Sonax Rim Shield

I've already talked to the Ops Manager at our motor vehicle shop. When the front brakes are ready to be changed I told them I want to move to ceramic pads. I had them on my last truck and the difference in brake dust between the semi-metallic stock pads and the ceramic pads was night and day.
