As promised... here is the pics!
These were taken today (2 days later) and I have driven the car quite a bit in those 2 days, and it still looks awesome. Has not been touched in those 2 days.
Thanks again everyone!
It's really hard to explain what I was seeing. I could kind of see the polish working, I was seeing after around 6-8 section passes that it was worked well, it was just hard to see where it was while I was buffing. It wasn't a huge issue by any means as I did no damage and everything came out...
Hello everyone,
First off I have to start with a huge thank you to everyone, especially Mike, Hellabroke, and mwoolfso. Mike, for putting out a great book and awesome videos. I was scared to get into power polishing for fear of messing up my car, but after reading his book and watching his...
Canadian here. They won't give you any trouble with it. My uncle goes down to the states and brings me back detailing stuff all the time. If you are searched or anything, it would be completely unrelated. If they ask you about the products just be honest and say they are for detailing the car...
Ha... living up in Canada I can't stand it when it snows, always said I wanted to move down to Arizona permanently (have a house down there).... maybe not!
Ya I had looked at those, I decided to go with the PC just because I have seen/used it in the past and had no issues with it. Also, the package deal with the PC is exactly what I need.
Hey everyone, thought I would re-bump my thread rather than start a new one.
So here is what I am thinking:
Wash
Iron-X (lots of brown dots on my paint)
Clay
Menz PF-2500 on white LC CCS pad (will step up to FG-400 on Orange if needed)
Menz SF-4500 on gray LC CCS pad
Menz powerlock sealant...
Totally get that, unfortunately my dad doesn't really understand detailing quite like I do.
So really, the big question is, how do you detail a car with 3M already on it? Just hand wax the film?
Hello everyone,
Had a great amount of advice/knowledge given to me on my first question on here so thought I would try this one.
I have searched here, and on the net, and I just haven't got the answers I was looking for.
I am about to make my first big purchase on Autogeek (PC 7424XP and...
Thanks for this writeup! I have a 2012 GTI and was told Mazerna's products would work well for the ceramic clearcoat, clearly that is true!
Soon I shall order my polisher and products... just need all this snow, salt, and cold temperatures to GO AWAY.
Interesting stuff. I will likely go with the pinnacle solution. I just wasn't sure which polish I should follow up the swirl correction with.
Thank You!
Excellent. Which products of poorboy's do you think would best work for this situation? (Of course you will never know unless you see the car... but as a best guess?)
I just don't understand which products of theirs are compounds, polishes, sealants and waxes.
The SSR1 sounds like a 2 in 1...
