    Foam

Thanks everyone. I wound up trying with Megs Gold Class mixed with water at about 2:1. Not quite as foamy as I would have liked, but it did what I wanted it to do. Maybe I'll try 1:1 next time.

    Foam

I just bought one of the cheap Home Depot foamers that attaches to a pressure washer. Can I use regular car soap in it (Megs Gold Class) or do I need to use a dedicated foaming wash for it to be worth using? I have ONR too, if that can be used.

    Please critique my website!

Overall I like the site however, I would change 2 things. First, I would put actual "specials" in the specials section rather than just a sign-up to receive emails. It's what most people expect to see when they click a "specials" link. You don't want people to think that there aren't any...

    RUG DOCTOR? As Extractor?

I bought my barely used Rug Doctor on CL for $200. I use it for both the house and the cars, I'm happy with it.

What pressure washer do you guys like?

I had a similar problem with my pressure washer last year. It turned out to be a bad pump. I found a replacement pump online and all is good now. If I figure out where I bought the pump from, I'll post a link. To troubleshoot, you can try removing the pump and see if the problem goes away.

    Alternative extractor??

I bought a Rug Doctor off of CL for $200 with the upholstery attachment. Mainly got it for the house, but the attachment does a good job on auto carpet.

    PC/Wolfgang Duo

I just received my new PC 7424/Wolfgang Duo (WG-PC-DUOXP). Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase, but I was surprised that the included CCS pads (orange/gray) are 6.5 inch. I went back and looked at the catalog, and it clearly states that the pads are 6.5 inch, so "my bad" for not...

    Newbie polishes

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a PC and try some paint correction on my black 1986 Nissan 300ZX. I think I have a good idea on pad assortment etc..., but I'm still unsure of which polishes to go with (keeping in mind this will be my first attempt). The victim has some moderate swirls...

    Clay residue

It does look like marring to me. I used Megs "Mirror Glaze mild detailing clay". I don't have a DA (yet), but I'm thinking of taking the plunge.

    Clay residue

I washed and started claying my black '86 Nissan yesterday and noticed that the clay was leaving a residue behind. The residue wouldn't wipe off with a MF. I made sure I was using plenty of lube and I don't think I was pressing too hard. Any ideas on how to remove it?

    clay after or during wash?

Here's my "non-expert" opinion... I dry before I clay because I usually get a few stray water drips from seams and emblems after I dry. I'll wipe them up while I'm claying. If I clay while the vehicle is still wet and then dry, those stray drips tend to show up while I'm trying to apply the LSP.

    LSP after QD

Washed my truck yesterday and I didn't quite stay ahead of the sun. I wound up with some minor water spots. Once the truck was in the shade, I did a QD and the water spots came right off. Would it be OK to apply an LSP after the QD?

    First time correction

Got it! I'll snap some pics tonight.

    First time correction

I know this "first timer" question has been beat to death, but it seems that every case is a little different. I'm basically trying to figure out the best pad/polish combination to go with before I place my PC and pad order. The "victim" is a new to me, 1986 Nissan 300ZX. The car has been...
