I've tried many tire dressings in the past but be my top 2 as of right this moment are
#1 Black Onyx tire gel
#2 VRP

Both have great shine and smells great!

I am actually trying VRP because of your recommendation of it. I messed up my photo test so will be having to start all over lol. I am currently testing Meguiar's Detailers Tire and Trim, CarPro PERL, Optimum Opti Bond Tire Gel and Chemical Guys VRP. All at once, one dressing per tire. :D Since I can't really wax my car since it is Opti Coated, I guess I switched to the tire dressing side lol

I am going to see which one last the longest too, but look wise (shine) I would have to go with Chemical Guys VRP or Optimum Opti Bond... I barely put them on yesterday so to soon to tell.

However, next order will include Ultima Tire and Trim

Between Meguiar's Tire and Trim and CarPro PERL In my personal opinion they look to "oily" while I am a fond of the shiny look.

CarPro is a lot glossier then Meguiar's. I believe CarPro can be diluted so that's a plus...., but durability is important in my choosing of which tire dressing...

VRP not only feels dry it looks dry too, almost to dry. Optimum seems to be a good all around choice, but I am imagining it would need 2 thorough coats to achieve the look I am after.

I find that using Meguiar's Hot Wheel and Tire Cleaner really cleans up one's tires. I can't wait until my D143 gets here :D

Hey Art, try the PERL diluted 1:1. Corey recommends this for spraying through there spray gun. I apply it 1:1 with a foam pad or Costco micro. It leaves a very nice satin finish. Also, it usually lasts me a month or so, and that's with weekly washings.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a shot next go around. Plus if that's the ratio I like then I'll get 2 bottles of it :D

Opposed to the Optimum where it would require me to put 2 coats so it would only last me half as long.

I just went with Roshan's video

As an old UK Psychobilly buddy used to say, "different courses for different horses. ". :)

For my business i use GG long lasting tire gel. Looks great and doesn't get slung on the car body when driving.

BlackFire Eclipse Tire Gel is another superb product to try. It goes on easily and its look and durability are impressive to say the least..

VRP is really good, I tried Blue Guard II and its not that good

I put this in other threads but might as well put it here too.

So I came to the conclusion that topping dressings is the best tire dressing, looks, durability, etc... and you can toy with the amount of gloss that one prefers.

I REALLY like Ultima Tire and Trim (I top it because of the cost) topped with PERL 2:1 (two parts product)

I am sure any other water based dressing will do the trick, as in VRP, Meguiar's, etc...

but Ultima/topped wins...,

not for customers cars but for our own personal vehicles.

I'm going to keep on using 303AP and Opti-Bond...
until I find "better".

"Better"...meaning:
Products that will contain a:
Wax/Low-viscosity polydimethylsiloxane-based-polymer
emulsion...
with this emulsion providing uneven light reflections:
For that perceived appearance of low gloss/sheen---matte, if you will.

:bolt:

CG Silk & Shine is working great for me, and lasts weeks. And you can use it on trim too.

I been having great results with CG new look trim gel. I only use it for tires now. I put it on pretty thick, then a couple hours later dry buff the tires with a MF. I have BF total eclipse and like that too, but doesn't last as long as the CG.

Tuf Shine. Tried it once and won't go back to anything else.

Runner up would be UTTG. Lasts longer than any other tire dressing out there IME.
