Drying Aid or Product After Every Wash?

I use them from time to time when doing a bucket wash. I will dry with air using my DP Turbo Car Dryer and I may come back with Optimum Instant Detailer on the cars that have gloss coat. My Camaro which has Ameriaromour has been getting CarPro Ech2o as a QD drying aid.

When I do ONR washes I will use the same QD's previously mentioned.

I used to use CGs Drying aid, but now have switched to CarPro ECH2O for lubrication and gloss.

For my car I use ech2o since it's cquartz uk coated for when I dry. I rarely ever hose wash my car anymore, mostly rinseless. When the temperature is hotter I'll use ech2o rinseless but when it's colder I'll use ONR. My other car has pbl synergy on it so I use mothers California gold detailer, which is a great otc product. I can't say I use ech2o or California gold as extra lubrication since the rinseless wash leaves the surface quite lubricated but just for an extra bit of gloss after. If it wasn't for the extra gloss, I wouldn't bother.

I wash every week.
3 x per month I use D 156
1 x per month I use WGLS

How does Wolfgang Uber@3oz. per gallon compare to ech2o as a waterless/detail spray/drying aid/gloss enhancer? Is it a close fight? Or is 1 blowing the other out of the water?

I haven't used uber but I would give ech2o the edge due to it having SiO2 (silica/quartz) in it.

Yes...VERY overlooked and underestimated product IMO. I currently playing around with a different brand (that I can't mention around these parts;-) because I received a bottle, but otherwise, Mother's is and has been the only QD in my cabinet for years.

I like Uber much better as a WW. I feel it cleans better and quicker without streaks. As a QD I like Ech20 for extra gloss. I've followed up Uber with Ech20 for some extra pop/protection. I'd like to try Uber mixed with a little WGDG liquid seal to see how it comes out.

Sonax BSD atm, Menzerna PL as LSP. I have Ech2o on it's way and the plan is to switch to Essence plus as my LSP during spring.

I use a QD after every wash due to the fact that I drive 3200+ miles every week, mostly on highways and LSP alone won't survive on some places for the entire winter without some help.

Have used the Ech02 as a drying aid, at 12:1 dilution, and it worked great. Used it after apply hydr02 to the wet vehicle. Dried with a MF and ech02. Finished with a coating of reload.

I'm a bit new at detailing. I have not been using a drying aid because I don't want to get 'wax' on my drying towels. For those that use drying aids, any long term issue with towel performance?

Every single wash on my and the wife's car i use Pinnacle Crystal Mist and absolutely love that stuff. I fully dry with MFWW towels then blow out all the trapped water. Once finally and completely dry i grab one of my super plush MF towel and make sweet love to the paint with PCM!

Some of you that are topping 4 different things, I think that's a waste of time, especially if they won't bond together. i.e. topping hydro2 with ECHO, that's good, but topping again with reload....doesn't make sense to me.

If I have hydro2 on my cars and use griots spray wax for a drying aid is that ok? Thanks in advance

are you guys spraying the spray wax on a wet surface ? or are you drying the vehicle first ? and like ChiBears asked what about the drying towel ? just tried my Griots PMF towel & yeah man it's working great. don't want to clog up the towel. of course if it's recommended to spray wax after drying I'll use a separate towel. thanks.

I give my spraying towel one quick shot to dampen the towel and provide a little lubrication. From there I go around the vehicle one panel at a time LIGHTLY spraying the wet surface and then drying it. For the most part, the LSP's I use combined with a flood rinse of the panel usually sheets the water away and there isn't much water left. It isn't like I'm spraying and drying a surface with a great deal of water on it. The roof is the only exception as the flat surface doesn't flood rinse as well as the vertical panels or a hood.

I've not noticed any ill effects to my drying towels. I always wash them after each time they are used and haven't noticed them drying any different. Since I'm using only a light amount of product and it's getting combined with the remaining water on the panel, I don't think the spray wax or QD concentrations are high enough to cause any issues as long as you don't repeatedly use the same drying towel without washing it.

I spray the wax on the wet surface, only a spritz or two per panel. I doubt there is enough wax there to affect the towels. Of course I wash all my towels after I use them, so they don't sit around with product on them.
