I havent been using this too much recently, but I used it in my detailing of a Porsche 997 and have realized what Ive been missing out on!

First of all, application is effortless. A little bit goes a long way with this product, and spreading is even and buttery smooth.

Removal is equally effortless, I normally do 2-3 panels and then buff off the P21s.

Durability is not great, but then again this is a "beauty" wax. I get about 3-4 weeks of usefull protection out of it from back when I used to apply it on my car.

Looks: its very slick, feeling smoother a few hours after the application. It has a sharp, wet look to it, especially on darker colors.

Some pictures of the beading after a week: (this is on the Porsche today after a rain storm)

How dirty was your car when you took those pics..it looked pretty hazy..nice beeds though

hahaha lol, I wish that was my car... That 997 turbo was completely clean, my camera sucks so I had to focus it on one thing and move it up or down until it focused on the beads. The car was fully clay/polished/waxed a week before, and was driven once since then. Here is another picture to show the paints true sharpness:

I wish it lasted a bit longer, but it lasts almost as long as Pinnacle Sig. series II in my experience.

Those are both nice looking cars and the P21s sure brings the shine out in them.

I just ordered some P21s as my final coat..........

Can this wax be "layered" on top of ZAINO Z2 (POLYMER) ?

Notice a difference between it and the P21S with the blue top?

Yes, just let the Zaino cure first. The P21S will bring out a nice warm glow from the paint and will provide excellent depth.

I used this wax and it went on very easy and came off good to. you dont need much, but the fact that the wax went and really smooth and light almost made me think "there is barley anything going on and its coming off so easy that I thought the wax wasnt that good because of the ease of application when I am to using thick, hard to work with wax"

P21s 100% is my FAVOURITE wax and when used alone, I've found it to give some decent durability.

I've done up to 3 layers and found it lasted easily more than 2 months with nice beading.

Right now, it's a wax that I won't live without in my arsenal (add to that the fact that it can be used on many surfaces like the wood trim on the inside of the car and as a UV sealer on the plastic tail lights). FANTASTIC!

I like P21S i have used it in the past great wax but... You want a wax the sheets not beeds water Mike talk about that on Saturday and Sunday class I took
Found this post on Meguiars Online
Water beading is only a sign of high surface tension, it does not automatically mean the surface is protected.

Water beading can be a visual indicator of a coating's presence. By that I mean, if your car's finish does not bead water before, cleaning, polishing and protecting, but does bead water after applying a protective wax coating, then as the beading diminishes over time and exposure to repeated washing or inclement weather, the lack of beading can be a visual indicator that the wax is wearing off.

Some Meguiar's waxes, like Gold Class wax, are not formulated to bead water well. Many people read into this that it is a product that doesn't protect well. The chemists that created this formula understand that water beading and then drying on painted surfaces can lead to problems, so they designed Gold Class Wax to not bead water.

While it's easy to explain the benefits of a wax that sheets water instead of beads water, it would appear that most people prefer a wax that beads water, if for no other reason, than it looks cool.

I'm bringing this old tread back because I have a question about the p21s 100%.

I'm in the process of detailing my Jeep Commander, and right now I'm letting the second coat of Menz power lock cure, I'm planning on applying p21s 100% tomorrow, and my question is, how long should I wait to do the second coat? Is it 12 to 24 as well?

Also, what about a dry buff to enhance the wet look? How long should I wait for that?

TIA...

I would wait a day before applying the second coat. I would also spray some distilled water when applying the second coat to help dissolve the solvents so you won't be removing the first coat. Instead of dry buffing why not just use a good quick detailer.

Thank you for your help!

I will wait a day, and I will try the water ( I'm guessing I just mist the area I will work on...)

As for the quick detailer, I do have megs QD, mothers, and DP clay lube that I do believe is a QD too, I also have some megs spay on wax. Sugestions on what I have now?

Yes just a light mist on the panel or you can mist the applicator. The Megs or Mothers should be fine. You'll have 2 coats of wax, so Megs spray wax won't be necessary, it may even take away from the p21 final look.

I will make sure I give it a tray, thank you for your help!!!

I like this wax, but it's a great dust collector also. I did my car the first of the week and right now its dusty, I have an asphalt drive to my house. It just grabs the dirt.
