What sealant do YOU like best

I would like to try Power lock too .

PM me your shipping info.

I own many sealants and plan to test them this winter, but my favorites at this point in no order:

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0
Duragloss 105 over 601
Menzerna Power Lock

It depends on what car I am sealing. For my black S2K my favorite is Blackfire Wet Diamond. Given what I have read on various forums, I imagine I would like Powerlock and Wolfgang equally, but I haven't tried them yet and won't until I finish up my WD bottle.

For our silver blue CR-V, my favorite is Ultima Paint Guard Plus, principally for its utility and ease of use. For a large car it's nice to have a product that (a) I can use on paint, metal and plastic trim and (b) that I don't have to buff off. But for this winter I sealed the CR-V in Finish Kare 1000p (3 coats). I like the look of it, I think even better than the UPGP; but of course it needs to be buffed off and it can't be applied to trim--but if I get the durability everyone else seems to be getting from it, I'll be happy. In the spring I'll return to UPGP.

Let me also give a thumbs-up to Mother's Reflections. As the name says, it bestows excellent reflectivity. It's also a cinch to use. I've never experienced any streaking, no matter how thick I've applied it. And at $11 a bottle, it has to be one of the best sealant values around.

  1. Menzerna Power Lock
  2. DP Poli-Coat Pant Sealant
  3. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0

Bob, what's the difference between the three? I use WGDGPS and haven't had a huge reason to change to date. Does your preference depend on color or vehicle?

#1 is a toss up UPGP or WGDGPS
#2 BFWD

dead last on the list DP Poli Coat

Sig series ll....oh wait, that's a paste wax.

Wdgps is my favorite. Bfwd is nice, but it dusts too much.

It's funny about the dusting thing with BFWD . When I apply it by hand it doesn't dust, but when I apply it with a rotary Low speed it does dust quite a bit .
Still like it though.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0
Menzerna Power Lock

Hands down the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0
I have had great success with the DP Poly Coat for less time intensive jobs.

It's a toss up for BFWD or WGDGPS3.0

But

I have some DP PolyCoat on the way that i'm excited to try.

Same here, but lately I like BFWD. DP Poli-Coat is good for the price. I use it on my wheels. However, if you are like me, I doubt you will prefer it over BFWD or WGDGPS.

That's the one thing I hate about it. Now just wait for the posts of people saying it doesn't dust...

 I still don't think it's as bad you say.

I really like BlackFire Wet diamond!

but recently I used Wolfgang DGPS 3.0 and it seemed equally good!

Only thing I didn't like about it, is the 45 min time period for which we have to leave it on there!

Application and removal was super easy!

Four Star UPP looks sick, on my black car. It has a deep, glossy look to it.

I also really WGDPS. IT has a bright, reflective look to it.

Not sure of how durable they really are.

I just ordered the the wolfgang 3.0 Friday and don't know what to do lol I just put some cg 3x top coat sealant on it like a month ago and its by far the best sealant I've ever used. I'm sure once I get the 3.0 ill be in the garage redoin my car lol

well i must say Have tried PB, WG, DG, DP, mothers, megs, along with coli 845 which is more sealant then wax...

I have to say i list them in this order

DG 105 + 601 (4:1) - 2 hour cure time is nice + it dose dust a little but slickness and durability + looks are very good, glossier then WG and you can feel the durability of this stuff on the paint. Top with coli 945 for the ultimate finish

WGDGPS

DP poli-seal - if we are talking durability over looks... this beats WG... ease of use goes to WG.

Poorboys EX-P - great look ~ 3 -4 months durability outside... really liked it on light colors and slickness was good. Quality product at good price.

Coli 845 - only reason it does not rank above PB's is ease of use. I detail outside and will not touch any coli product in full sun again.

Mothers synwax

Megs - syn 2.0 then NXT 2

Just my opinions. Hope they help

Chris

I don't know.........BFWD seems to streak but it is easier to wipe off then Wolfgang. As far as the look they leave behind I'd say they're equal. So the tie breaker is going to be cost.......Blackfire wins that one. DP is what I use on my daily driver and for durability I'll go with that one. Meguiar's Nxt Generation Tech Wax 2.0 is definitely the best smelling sealant, by far.
