    Collinite 845 Topping With Carnuba?

You can. But you're defeating the purpose of 845, that being it's durability.

    Winter Cleaning :)

50 degrees? Come on man! Lol :D I would take that weather any day for washing! But I definitely need to organize the little amount of products I have in the garage right now, most being inside actually due to low temperatures.

    Pad size

5.5 or 6.5 inch pads will work best assuming you are using a DA polisher.

what exactly are the "brushes" inside a polisher

Oh maybe he just isn't as skilled with computers as you are. You haven't even given members a chance to share their knowledge with you. The amount of knowledge on this site is amazing if you allow it to be fed to you.

What did I do wrong? First time clay.

    Finish Kare 425

You will be fine then. I highly recommend reading Troy's review. My one tip is to not over use the product. A little will go a long way.

    Finish Kare 425

For new users, FK425 might take a little getting use to. Especially using in the sun. I only had this problem about two times, but since then it is my favorite quick detailer and clay lubricant. It gives a great look on my Magic Blue Volvo and should give a great look on black. I haven't noticed...

Ever use your detailing skill on something other than a car?

Funny this thread got bumped back up. I just finished using my steam cleaner to cleaner the shower. No more soap scum and residue!

    PC Continues to Give Trouble

Porter Cable or Autogeek should include a note saying DO NOT LOOSE THIS WASHER OR REMOVE IT FROM THE BACKING PLATE! It seems to be the number 1 cause of polisher problems.

Seen this before on another tool forum and it was getting posted everyday. But this is Autogeek so it's different. Some of their tools aren't half bad actually.

What are these defects in my paint?

Looks like the beginning of clear coat failure. Sadly I have a couple spots like this as well. I would recommend not to polish if it is not needed.
