McLaren MP4-12C, I loved her as if she were mine!

Awesome work, as usual, Jose' :dblthumb2: A Rose by any other name... Does Jason make house calls or did you go to his house to polish his McLaren? :D Now let's not get carried away! I'm pretty sure I couldn't afford either of 'em. TL

It comes on the GG3, no clue if it's available ala carte. There's other out there too. TL

First Attempt Removing Swirls from '08 Lade! Miami Beach!

By not doing the hood liner first you're going to mess up that clean engine bay. Another learning experience... Armor All Tire Foam has some pretty good cleaning agents, I think you're going to need something decidely stouter. An APC with a wheel brush is what I've used. Then the AATF. I've...

Yowza! Nice view, I don't know if a steak is worth 40 bucks though. If you're going to go whole hog order something prepared tableside like the Chateaubriand for Two. If you get a tableside preparer with a sense of humor that isn't a tighta$$ it can be really fun. Tableside desserts are fun too...

    Griots 3" DA

4" pads give increased correction on a DA. Everything I have in larger pads I also have in 4" as well. I also use the 3" backing plate and pads on the larger machines for tight areas where the GG3 won't give the results I'm seeking. TL

First Attempt Removing Swirls from '08 Lade! Miami Beach!

Nice 1st time results! I generally wipe CD2 while it's still wet for a more matte finish. I then use the moist rag on plastic wheel well liners, it lasts longer than dressings. Giving things under the hood a quick wipe with a moist towel after drying the vehicle will keep things from crudding...

I've been driving GM extended cab 4x4s for over 10 years and I'm still not totally sure exactly where the bumper corners are when I'm backing up. It seems reasonable to expect someone that doesn't drive a large barge frequently to not be very good at it either. On occasions where I've used a...

    Griots 3" DA

Where would you suggest one might look? New future release or existing product? According to the LC Web site... at least last year when you could find things before they revamped it... LC makes almost every pad in 3 & 3.5" sizes as well as varying thicknesses. Nobody carries them. I've found...

Applying Opti-Guard to set of Vossen wheels

Coouhl! Nice results, Chad. I like what OC did for the matte finish. Is the airbrush (and your steady hand) precise enough to apply to the wheels without masking the rubber? Never used an airbrush, I'm still looking for an el-cheapo for single-use on honeycomb grills. TL

    2003 S500 (A MUST Read)

Just saw this thread when you linked from a wheel-cleaning thread. Dunno how I missed it first time around. A few words about cleaning under the hood...don't you just hate the entire engine compartment looking like new and the radiator fins still look like crap? CD2 (if you can find it) makes...

    Griots 3" DA

Depends on your point of view...for correction, yes. But when you're standing on a platform trying to reach the middle of a large truck roof or SUV when applying wax or sealant one-handed, especially after lugging a rotary around all day, you'll think the 3" GG is the best thing since sliced...

    Griots 3" DA

You will be extremely unimpressed if you try to use the GG 3" for serious correction. It just isn't stout enough to keep the pad spinning when you apply the required pressure. I have used it successfully to remove light swirls but your technique needs to be perfect. Correction in the...

Washing and Detailing for Apartment Living

Welcome to AGO :welcome: An alternative to waterless washes when things are a little too grungy are rinseless washes. There's a few around, I have experience with ONR. This is assuming you aren't going to get excessive static about using a couple of gallons of water in a bucket. If you...
