Valet Parking

Thanks for the replies! I think i'll probably just let the valet park my truck, and mention to him that it is hard to tell where the corneres are...

The place i'm taking her is called "LeMont".

Dude you taking her to the LeMont downtown? Nice place, their food is awesome! Have a good time!! :)

It does have a parking lot like right across the street from it…I'm not sure though if that is the one they use for valet parking, it might be. If its not I think that would be a pretty good place to park it. Just my two cents

We had this issue when we went to Bern's steakhouse in Tampa. We looked for a while for a parking spot and finally gave up. When we came out to get our car (a Lexus) we could see him across the street as he was pulling out and pulled right out in front of an oncoming car and I gasped as he screeched the tires to get out without getting hit. I, being 18 and sober, was shocked at what just happened. Everyone around me was oblivious...
And let me add, nobody but myself and my grandfather drive the car... You just can't trust people nowadays...

Yowza! Nice view, I don't know if a steak is worth 40 bucks though. If you're going to go whole hog order something prepared tableside like the Chateaubriand for Two. If you get a tableside preparer with a sense of humor that isn't a tighta$$ it can be really fun. Tableside desserts are fun too. At least your getting some additional entertainment value for a $200+ tab.

I would get a limo except we live about 45 miles south east of the city - out in the country... it would cost me more for the limo than it would for the meal.

You obviously haven't seen a tab for LeMont! Here's the menu:

If the lady comes from a well-capitalized family I'd think she'd have already been to the swank places around the Burgh. Personally, I'd find some hideyhole she'd never been to. I kind of enjoy going to lower scale out-of-the-way places with fantastic food that are lesser known and show up hideously overdressed. A tux at Premante Brothers is a hoot :D

Last time I was at LeMont we showed up during the dinner hour on bikes wearing ratty H-D t-shirts and slurped $20 margueritas and chowed down on oysters Rockefeller at the bar. It's kind of fun to be underdressed at a high-brow establishment as well. The valets didn't know what to do with us when we parked the bikes in front of the door. If I recall correctly it may have been suggested that we attire more appropriately for future visits. :D

I would drop her at the door and park in the rear of lot as usual. If this upsets her that much, after dinner I would leave her there. She's going to be more trouble then she's worth ;)

Bottom line...park the car yourself but be sure to account for enough time to look for parking.

Thanks guys... The Lemont we're going to is the one on Mt. Washinton overlooking downtown... This is the last place we haven't been to on the mountain...

Eventhough she's from a well-to-do family, she loves wearing her comfy clothes and 98% of the time we eat out at hole in the wall places, which she loves. She really doesn't like the fancy places, and would rather have a good burger or order of pancakes and go watch the Pens hockey game :) , but sometimes i like to treat her like a queen if you know what i mean...

yea, the parking lot which is kind of a mini parking garage accross the street is where the valet parks the cars. I think i'll just slip the valet $20 or $30 bucks and ask him if he can park it up front and just forget about the truck while we're eating dinner... Like bob said earlier, i'll just put my polishin skills to use on her that night and take care of the truck when the warm weather rolls around :)

Sounds like a plan!! I hope you guys have a great evening!

Thanks Alex :xyxthumbs: i think i'll be able to put my detailing OCD aside for one night :buffing:

Sounds like a plan! Hope you guys enjoy your Dinner
