Oh, just re-read your first post. If you're not cleaning the section you just polished, then you may be putting swirls on the polish residue. Once you remove all polish residue, check again for swirls.

What color is it?

Power Finish should tackle light to moderate swirls and finish nicely on all but the softest clear coats.

Alex, you're my hero! :D That's a lot of accumulated yuckiness. One reason I don't like to do interiors.

I use distilled water for the final rinse. I shower the car and walk away. No spots, no streaks, I don't touch the paint, super easy.

They do. Especially with hard water. Coatings prevent etching from hard water spots?

Tire shine is a little too shiny for my tastes, but it's very cool that it will last for weeks.

Hobbyist. Maybe one day a Pro. Don't have the physical setup I need to do the jobs I want (high-end cars). I'm in a prime location though, L.A. baby!
