Ok, throwing this out there. This will be my first use of my Flex 3401 with Wolfgang products. Have not used a polisher before. Will be doing light swirl remover, polish, and seal. Which vehicle would be my "best first" choice to start?

1. My 07 GL450 which has Ceramiclear

2. The wife's black 09 Cayenne

or one of these?

you should be fine as long as you do test spots but if you want to be careful, pick the one with the best paint and once you're ready to polish (after washing, clay etc) slap on a pad with no cut and use a finishing polish (which also has very little cut) so you get used to the machine, how to go around curves etc...

Well, maybe the Cayenne, the paint is not to terrible on any of the vehicles and the Cayenne has a lot of large flat panels which should make it easier to get used to the Flex

Subscribed. I am on the verge of ordering a GG 6" to care for my daily driver, an 11 GL450 with cermiclear. First polisher, previously did everything by hand.

Are you comfortable with power tools and have a basic understand of polishing? If not, why not a neighbor's car in less than ideal condition.

Yes, comfortable with power tools and do have a basic understanding of polishing. Guess the best thing to do is to jump in and go for it.

Cayenne, as Porsche seems to have softer paint. It may be finicky, but that will help you achieve a crystal clear finish! Happy detailing! :)

Have you read the article that Mike Philips wrote on Ceramiclear? If not, I suggest you check it out before making the decision.

I'd go for the porsche.

Happy detailing!

I did read the article, hence why I mentioned the Ceramiclear.

Doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy

So I decided to do the Vette first. The Cayenne is the wife's DD so I did not have it on Fri when I started. I would say that I achieved about an 80% correction.

Here are some before pics
