    Gilmour foam gun procedure

I sort of use a 0 bucket method. I rinse, foam, use 4 wet megs wash mitts and work my way clockwise around the car top to bottom. If one side of the mitt gets dirty I switch to the other side, then when I see dirt on that side I switch to the next wash mitt. No going back and forth getting...

    Review: Meguiars Wheel Brightner

I do not know if hydrofluoric acid is in WB or not or if it is what its dilution ratio is. However if hydrofluoric acid is in WB, I would stay away from it. When I was in the semi conductor industry, we used HF to etch silicon wafers. It was one of the most dangerous acids we used...

105 was working so good then........

What did you switch to. I also have had SERIOUS problems with Meguire's 105 (instant dusting) With 205 at the same time and temp no problems with dusting. I would prefer to stay with a SMAT product but if I have to go with a DAT polish, it is better than something that dusts all over the...

    Blackfire and my GLI

Did the sealant increase the depth of the gloss ? In the past most people felt the polish is responsible for the gloss and the sealant just adds the protection.

How effective are small hand held shop vacs

Thanks guys, it really helps to get the opinion of others before you buy. When I read the reviews of carpenters and detailers on Home Depot's web site they felt the lack of wheels was a plus (not banging into things (base boards, car, etc.) when they are dragging around a shop vac with wheels.

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

Chemical Guys New Car Smell and Megs 105. Still trying to figure out how to use the 105 without dusting in seconds. I have tried spritzing with water, priming the pad with Ultimate Compound. I will next try lower speed and 3 very small drops of 105, if that doesn't work I will try another...

    Portable work light

I bought the Loews LED work light. On the plus side, it does not get hot like the halogen. But it doesn't show defects as well as a halogen work light.

Using inexpensive MF Towels Instead Of A Wash Mitt

I tried using mf towels in place of $6.00 megs wash mitts. Went right back to megs wash mitts as the towels seemed like one big heavy soggy mitt that would not trap dirt as well as the megs wash mitts.

Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut vs Ultimate Compound

I love megs products, but I do not know why Megs does not improve their 105 product after all the complaints they have received about it. Last week I applied 205, cool day in my garage, great working time no dusting. However it left traces of the 2000 wet sanding, so I primed my orange GG pad...

The Magic of Microfiber Pt I

P.S. My wife accidently washed one of my GG blue mf deep plush towels with her regular wash. Would you recommend tossing the towel or washing it with BF by itself to clear it of cotton fibers from the regular wash ?

    Griot's Garage 3 Inch???

I use my 3" GG DA more than my 6" GG DA. When I am correcting a scratch I would much rather remove a 3" swath of clear coat with 105 and then 205 than remove a 6" swatch of clear coat. The clear coat provides UV protection for the paint so that is why I prefer the removal of less clear. Not...

The Last Straw with AG Customer Service

I have always found AG Customer Service to go out of their way make things right. The forum is first class and their customer service is first class as well. I noticed on my orders from AG they have taped the caps onto the bottles to prevent leakage. The 3 day customer shipping to the west...

Ok, I've read conflicting reports on this...

I ordered Megs Claying kit from AG. I expected it to be "fine" grade. I looked at it yesterday and its overspray clay. Is overspray clay fine or aggresive ???
