Just had a similar experience with my wifes 2010 ES350. Had a nice showroom finish when we picked it up, but a week later when I washed it, the swirls were exposed. Luckily its not to bad, but I didn't want to have to take the polisher to the finish yet.
I'm not nervous about it, I'm sure its not gonna harm the finish. Certainly something wouldn't be mentioned in this forum if it had the potential to damage the finish.

Souveran and UPP are a beautiful combo. You could maintain with LSS, AW, or OIG. From my experience AW will alter the depth of the finish and make it a little more reflective, but still beautiful. I haven't tried OIG yet.
Sounds like you might need to make a couple of more passes. Like you said, the polish might not have broken down fully. The hazing you see is probably marring.
