    PO85RD and collinite 845

Black 5.5" LC flat pads and the 5.5" CG hex pads are the two i've used. I found no real difference between the two styles.

    PO85RD and collinite 845

Black pads are the only ones I've used with 85rd and that combo worked very well.

    Removing Blue Jeans from Leather

Nice work cleaning them up. I always see this on light colored leather when attending the manufacturers auto show that comes around each fall. Never quite got why they would have tan/light interiors for people to sit in at those events.

Which Products do you wish you NEVER BOUGHT?

Agree that ease of use is not a strong suit of 105, but it gets results. Not trying to attack you on here, just thought it was odd that you weren't seeing any better results using 105/205 vs the Megs otc stuff. Sorry if my comments sounded as an attack. Mostly wanted to clarify that 85rd is...

    PO85RD? To buy or not.

Depends on the paint you're using it on, ime. On my car's factory paint (red) I didn't see any appreciable difference between finishing with M205 & 85rd. However, the repaint on my hood is a much softer clear and there was a big difference there in favor of the 85rd.

Which Products do you wish you NEVER BOUGHT?

RE: Kris R, Just a couple thoughts. To my knowledge 85rd was not discontinued, but simply renamed. I have gotten stunning results using it on soft paint. Also, having used all of Megs OTC products, as well as M105/205, I can safely say that if you're not getting good results using 105/205...

    Megs 105/205 Combo

I don't see any reason why you can't do spot corrections on the paint. You'll just want to tape the areas off to ensure you know where to go back over with sealant after you're finished. However, one thing to keep in mind is that if you're doing the 105/205 combo on an area, it WILL look...

My solution to $150 foam guns...

Hmm, maybe less is more with the soap? I figured more would do the job better, but maybe it's too heavy a mix to fully foam? I've got some CG Maxi-suds on the way as well. Good info. I'll try giving it a shake first as well. If it's already foamy in the container it would make sense that it...

2012 Mustang GT 5.0 full paint correction - Opticoat 2.0

Didn't try that. It may have worked, but I had a sample of 85rd that I really wanted to use and it came out perfect.

My solution to $150 foam guns...

I picked up this same setup yesterday and have already done three washes with it. :xyxthumbs: I do like it, but the Megs GC doesn't really foam as much as I was hoping. It's decent, but not as foamy as the demo video at the beginning of this thread. The suds don't cling for more than a minute...

    Wally World stepping up.....

I sucked it up and went to the Walmart in my area last night. I was greeted by the sight of 4 police cars in front, with officers arresting a couple guys. Inspiring. Went inside to the car care section and it was a mess with the Megs "starter kits" pulled apart and missing things. Anyways, they...

    Meg 105/205 follow with?

I would say that whether or not you see any benefit from 85RD will depend upon how hard or soft the clear coat is that you're working on. On my personal car I don't see a difference between finishing with M205 or finishing with 85RD, but I have seen big differences on cars with softer clear.

Menzerna PO 85RD results and quick comments on other products

M205, in my experience on softer paints, will still leave very small amounts of marring. P085rd takes care of that and leaves a flawless finish. I think the vast majority of cars end up looking great after M205 though.
