    Dodo Juice Wash Buckets

I just read the product warning on Dodo's site. What's the point of a bucket so fragile that you can't even fill it more than 2/3?

Review - Meguiar's D114 Rinse Free Express Wash

Interesting to see how well dirt is released from your wash media. That's one thing that I haven't like about ONR (V2). Granted, I use a white microfiber mitt, so it will show more dirt, but it still ends up pretty dingy after finishing an ONR wash.

Tropi-Care TC8: What is comparable for finishing down?

Absolutely! :xyxthumbs: I have both and find that 205 is awesome 9 times out of 10. I did a full detail on my personal car over the weekend and 205 finished perfect everywhere except the hood, which has been repainted and is much softer clear. On the hood I followed 205 with P085rd and it came...

    I hate the grocery store.

I have one teeny tiny ding on a quarter panel that you can only see at a certain angle. The detailing place I stopped by for an estimate told me PDR would make it good as new, no problem.

    Typical LC Pad Usage Amount?(Duration)

How are you drying your pads? The only time I've had a pad separate was when I left a pad drying, face up, on a counter and the water that was left in the pad basically sat on the velcro face of the pad, causing it to separate.

Am I the only person on here that hates Walmart?

Tropi-Care TC8: What is comparable for finishing down?

If you're working on softer paint the 205 most likely won't finish down as well as you'd like. I had to follow 205 with P085rd to get a good finish on a new Mustang. On my personal car (Dodge) 205 finishes down great and I don't see any benefit to following up with P085rd.

Is durability of tire dressings that important?

Durability matters because tires with huge grey streaks across them make a car look dumpy. I don't care if my tires are still shiny, but it would be nice if they stayed decent looking longer than one 30 minute drive in the wet. Why bother even using a dressing at that point? May as well just...

Meguiar's Hot Rims Brake Dust Barrier Review and Testing

I'd like to see this. The Megs is basically double the cost of the Armor All at my local parts stores, so hopefully it's actually worth it.

Is there a tire dressing that won't streak off in the rain?

Well, I gave the Optibond another shot over the weekend. Applied one coat to achieve the desired look, allowed it to dry overnight, and buffed any excess the following morning. After my rainy drive to work this morning the tire dressing streaked the same way as before. It's gotta be entirely...

    Cool find at Autozone

While out purchasing a car battery yesterday I found myself in the car care section of the store and discovered that Autozone now carries the 32 ounce bottles of Meguiars M105 ($31.99) & M205 ($24.99). That's the first time I've seen those two products at a local store. An employee said they...

I used the Live Help chat feature today and it didn't take but 1 minute for someone to respond.

Is there a tire dressing that won't streak off in the rain?

Yeah, it's the dressing that streaked off. The streaks are all in proximity to the wheel spokes, so I'm pretty sure it's because that where water is shed off the wheels when driving.

Is there a tire dressing that won't streak off in the rain?

I've got a jug of the OPC at home so I'll definitely give that a go next time I clean the tires up.

What's the strangest thing you've ever found?

Umm, well, it wasn't during a detail that I found this, but actually when I was doing a brake job for a co-worker several years ago. I was looking for her lug key in the glove box and came across a bottle of "personal lubricant." Strange place to store that stuff!

Is there a tire dressing that won't streak off in the rain?

Thanks for the tips. I'll be more aggressive cleaning the rubber this weekend and we'll see how it holds up. I used the Griots Rubber Cleaner last time, but the finger pump sprayer on the small bottle was SO tiring to use that I probably didn't get thorough enough with it.

    What WAS your favorite product/methods

My favorite product used to be the OTC Megs 3-step system. Didn't know what I was doing so I always used too much product that was horrible to remove, and I had one of those lousy 10-inch oscillating buffers that don't accomplish anything. Didn't even know about clay bars back then (12 years ago).

Is there a tire dressing that won't streak off in the rain?

I'm not sure if it's just because of the design/offset of my wheels, or if there are other options out there that won't allow the water being shed off the wheel when driving in the rain to leave big streaks across the tires. It drives me nuts seeing this and is almost kind of embarrassing...

    How much would you charge????

I really like the wipe on/wipe off that Fuzion offers, but I would probably use a sealant rather than a wax. I've seen great durability on my daily driver using Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant. Most sealants are very easy to apply/remove.
