I think the reason was that they didn't do a long term test on windows. David F's long term test that lasted around 16months ~ two years (?), he applied OC2.0 to everything on one half of the car. OC 2.0 only lasted around 6~9 months on the front windshield but the rest of the glass lasted...

Man thought we would've had more supporters for UTTG and WETS but looks like a nice large group of you are in the Poorboys camp. I haven't used the Poorboys product but might try it now. But I have used UTTG and WETS and I find them to be excellent. Hell I even UTTGed my shoes!

I'm not going to do it to my car, however I do have a itch to pick up a junk panel and test it out.

Nope not joking at all after reading up on all Varnish types.
