    Gift Certificate Questions

It’s funny you should mention that. I made the exact same comment to someone a couple days ago. I thought maybe I just missed a lot of the excitement because I’m not on the forum as much. Gift certificate seem to be on sales less and less often so I took advantage. Since I plan on ordering...

    New truck

Congratulations on the new truck. That’s an incredible color. I would go with a coating, second option would be a high quality sealant. After all the prep work before of course. Where are you from? Maybe you can find someone on here with more experience to help you out.

    Gift Certificate Questions

I didn’t get a confirmation on the first purchase of a 300.00 certificate. I assumed the purchase didn’t go through and ran the order again. Should have checked my CC statement I guess. lol

How can I improve this touch up paint job?

The paint in the chip looks like it's still too high. You need to sand it down level with the surrounding paint. How much experience do you have wet sanding?? In the future Dr Colorchip is a lot easier to use. I can't really tell if the other issue I'm looking at is clear coat smeared across...

    "Pop" on silver paint

Thanks, I assumed he quit doing it. Extremely time consuming. Doing the small batches he was doing couldn't have been very cost effective, not to mention the amount of time testin, etc.

    "Pop" on silver paint

That silver definitely looks great! What ever happened to Drew (I'm assuming that's Son1c)?? I haven't seen him on here for years. Is he still making wax? Last time I checked on the AG page I think they only had one of his waxes.

1966 Ferrari 330 single stage mahem!

That looks great Scott. I really like single stage paint. I've never polished anything in that was in that condition. Nice work.

    Not your average coating recommendation

This is definitely a good option. I'm friends with a local who did about 75% of his coatings in the customers garage.

Anyone else less than impressed with the scratch resistance offered by ceramic coatings?

There are a couple self healing coatings out there that are pretty impressive.

    Camaro ZL1

It turned out great Scott!! Always amazed at how much damage dealerships do to cars. That solid black Camaro paint is usually pretty soft, was that the case with this one?

Nervous About My Flex XFE7-15 Purchase

I had one, sold it and bought the battery version which even that has plenty of power. I think a lot of the negative remarks are from people just moving into a long throw machine. There is definitely going to be a learning curve going from a 3401 to a long throw. If you give yourself adequate...

    orange peel solutions?

CarPro makes velvet and denim pads for this, I've never used them. Are you sure it's not some kind of chip resistant paint?? Being on in that area it could be.

Feel like I was duped here with detailing and ceramic coating

It's like watching Alex Smith's leg injury. As gruesome as it is you just have to keep watching it. 😂😂😂

Griots 6" onsale for $112, should i get now or will there be better pricing?

I'm sure Autogeek will match the price. I can also guarantee if there is any kind of problem with it you would much rather deal with Autogeek than Pepboys!!

    Pulled the trigger......

Congratulations!! I love that color. My 2010 Camaro had it. They called it Red Jewel Tint-coat on that one.

    Idea for Felt Wheel Liners

I think it's a combination of noise and weight. I've never used anything but a strong stream of water from the hose to clean them on my car. They turn out fine, nothing sticks. Once you start using a brush or do any kind of scrubbing you start fraying the fibers. At that point everything...

Pretty impressed with Optimum Hyper Polish

Depends on the pad, it can be used as a heavy cut polish with a cutting pad all the way down to a fine finishing polish on a finishing pad. A white LC polishing pad used with it works great, it will finish close to a finishing polish but have pretty good cut at the same time.

Pretty impressed with Optimum Hyper Polish

Exact same experience here. HyperPolish was actually the first polish I ever tried. Still trying to figure out why I bought the 20+ others afterwards. HyperCompound...eh

Getting good results using SuperClean on tires...

I spent my life in the tire business, I'll stick with McKee's Rubber Cleaner and Rejuvenator, it works great. Spray it on and watch the brown start running off. . APCs and degreasers are not good for tires.
