Rupes Nano iBrid or Flex PE8 Kompakt?

I had a PE 8 and have an ibird. The ibird does a great job. The biggest issue with the PE 8 is the size of the machine. I know a lot of people will put 2 or 3 extensions on it to get it to reach in small areas, that doesn't always work. The size of the ibird allows it to get in a lot of tight...

I have the Rupes penlight and the scangrip. As far as I can tell the two are identical.

    Resin On My Hood

I'm guessing since that product is designed to stick to glass it has a pretty solid bond. I think Strong's method is probably your best shot.

Can you experienced guys help me please?

After a long period of time the cream type sealants seem to do this. I know some products if you put two or three steel bearings or a couple bolts in them and shake them good they will come back. Other than that you might try Ultima Paint Guard Plus. It's a liquid sealant that is a wipe on walk...

How To Educate Folks About Detailing Misconceptions And Myths? (Newbie Questions)

A good way to show them what a clay bar does is after a car is washed do the Baggie test and have them put their hand in the Baggie and feel how rough the surface is then go over it with the clay and have them feel it again. Clay removes bonded contaminants, it doesn't remove any paint. It can...

check out this damage done during a paint correction - repaint needed?

Depending on the tear of the vehicle they should be able to get the paint to match even if they have to do a little blending. it definitely needs to be repaired and resprayed. If they're apologetic about it and offer to repair it I wouldn't be too hard on them.

    Flex PE14-2 Leaking

12 months. I believe they sometimes make exceptions. As little use as this tool has as long as it hasn't been dropped or damaged by misuse they might try to help.

Help with this scratch (newbie question)

I agree. You can't be sure judging by the picture, but it appears to be a fairly light scratch. You not being able to catch your nail on it further indicates it is a light scratch.

Review: FLEX PE14 Rotary Polisher by Mike Phillips

Guilty lol I actually sold it because it was hard on my back using it (serious back problems) then figured out it was actually easier in my back than going over extremely hard clears of deep defects two or three times to remove them. I love the PE 14 I'm still going to try out the Rupes...

Nick @ McKee's Just Did Me A Solid

Nick is a good guy. I've been extremely happy with the way all McKee's products work. You are definitely right, that's the way a business should be run, go above and beyond. I know that's the way I always ran mine and was extremely successful. One of the biggest reasons I buy 90%+ of my...

303 Trim restorer and protectant, great stuff.

Setec's post also brings up a possible issue you may have using this. You've used Dlux among other products on your trim already so there could definitely be some bonding issues.

303 Trim restorer and protectant, great stuff.

Definitely great information. 303 isn't a coating more of a sealant but I could see where it might have the same type of issue. I'm also assuming it has UV protectants which may not be the case. Maybe I'll try to see if I'm able to remove it from part of the trim on my wife's truck. I'll be...

    Questions About Claying Our Car

It also makes a great paint prep before applying your LSP at the right dilution. I always use it for my first wipe down. Psychological thing for me I guess, but I like that strong chemical smell on the final wipe down so I know all the oils are removed. One of these times I'm going to have to...

    Harbor Freight Polisher

5" is definitely the way to go on that machine. The thin pads tend to work better also.

303 Trim restorer and protectant, great stuff.

Have you used the McKee's multiple times?? If so was it before the trim actually started looking bad? Judging by your comment I'm assuming it was.

303 Trim restorer and protectant, great stuff.

I definitely see your point and I'll let you know. The color on the trim is still good. It's not quite as hydrophobic as it was. Hopefully by doing it before it starts to fade it will be ok. The way this stuff stuck to glass that wasn't even prepped I assume it will hold on to the prior coat...
