i've done the same 08 G37 3 times in the last 2 years. the owner is very particular about how the car is kept. after seeing it the second time i gave him a class on how to wash it then checked the paint. more swirls just from washing it. this is a very "soft" paint. it takes time to do it...
be very careful with this paint. i've done 2 G37's and it's difficult paint to work with. put away the flex and use the PC imo. also this paint gets swrils very easy
One thing that i did was offer 1 free detail at the smaller lots to show what i could do and picked up more work than i can keep up with. word of mouth spreads quick between smaller lots.
Thank You Travis very much for all your help during the fest. I spent a day and a half of the two days in the garage detailing my truck and Travis helped by checking (what seamed like every half hour) too see if i needed anything. Your customer service is second to none. Also thanks to Penny and...
the soft paint had me cautious as what can be done with it. i've received the car back to do again (only used a polisher) an has many light scratches (it was perfect when finished the first time). the owner has asked about the sealer i used (klassie) and wanted to know if the was something...
thanks. i'll try taping tonight see what works. i noticed when i slowed down the machine was easier to handle. the Menzema products seamed to work better with the Flex. Half the hood was sand papered so it has some real good scratches.
Well broke out the new flex last night. As with any new machine a trip to the local body shop first. Picked up a 2004 Dodge Ram hood for practice. So with an orange pad and & #4 I got started on the abused hood. I wanted to know just how far i could go before damage would occur. Well right off I...
i have pennicle, xmt 1-4, menzema, meguiers, optimum ,poorboys etc... and a full range of pads if anyone has worked with this type of paint please advise
it's a new honda. has been on the lot for nearly a year and a half. loads of swirls. i'll be using a PC on it unless i shouldn't (its red). told the owner i'd do some checking before i'd touch it. has anyone worked on this new type of paint yet???
i'm going to be detailing a vehicle with the new "soft paint" any do's and don't that i should know about? what polish/pad to use, can (or should) this be clay bared, any special instructions will help. thanks
