    BORLA cat back exhaust

You can check out aFe Power too. They have a pretty cool "Hi-Tuck" system for the ZR2 that keeps it away from crush zones. They have some really high quality exhaust systems. I have a full system on my GLI that I really enjoy. Full disclaimer: I used to work for them so I am a bit biased...

    The Thread of Clay

I like using synthetic clay for quick decontamination, or when full blown clay isn't needed. In my experience it's not as abrasive as real clay, so it won't remove the really stuck-in stuff as easily but also potentially won't mar as much when used properly. I have used both a clay mitt and...

    Your favorite "smelling" leather cleaner?

Re: Your favorite "smelling" leather cleaner? I still haven't tried an Adam's QID scent that I like and I've tried like three lol. I use P&S Xpress often, it's a fantastic cleaner and I love how it leaves nothing behind. I guess I'm looking more for a leather "conditioner" that can...

    Your favorite "smelling" leather cleaner?

Bringing this thread back from the dead! What is everyone liking these days? I'm looking for a new cleaner/conditioner/uv protectant all-in-one type of leather product. Tried Griot's 3-in-1, Mother's VLR, Adam's stuff, etc and still haven't found one I really like. I know Meguiar's stuff always...

    Fabric protectants

Good question. I personally purchased Gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric AB because of the anti microbial properties, but I still have not had a chance to use it yet. I was planning to use it on my gf's car with a light grey interior color, but the day after I steamed and extracted her seats she spilled a...

Do I need anything else to start foaming?

The quick connects at the end of the PW gun allow you to change the foam cannon to the desired nozzle in literally seconds. I keep the nozzle in my pocket ready to go. Dealing with TWO hoses would make me lose my mind!!

Can you Believe this is a Hyundai

Can you Believe this is a Hyundai

Yours has the new 8-speed dual clutch? How do you like the transmission? My GLI has the 7-sp DSG and it's my first automatic car ever... and I freaking love it. So responsive and so quick off the line.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I've been keeping my eyes out. I'm still loving my GLI but eventually, I'll get bored just like I always do... definitely would like to get back into a RWD platform. I think the 2.0 will be sufficient but I am also tempted by some similar cars with 6-cylinder plants.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

How's the Giulia treating you? I have an unhealthy desire for one of these.

Drying aid for a ceramic coating

I'm generally using it at 1:15. It's a bit heavy but I like the gloss that results from it and is worth the extra wipe for me. I tend to use it as an actual waterless wash too, so the heavier ratio has a bit more cleaning and lubrication that I like.

    Griots ceramic all in one

    Very strange indeed :dunno:

    Griots ceramic all in one

If you're using it with a machine polisher, I would imagine that the heat generated during the polishing process would cut down the cure time significantly as compared to being hand applied. For example, CarPro USA recommends waiting at least one hour after polishing with Essence (a ceramic...

Drying aid for a ceramic coating

I will agree with Desertnate. Ech2O is great as a drying aid and detail spray for a coating. It will leave a small haze at first, so what I do is spray on the towel/panel, wipe with the damp towel and level it to the whole panel, then come back with a dry clean towel to buff off the haze. Leaves...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Busted my butt polishing out this ol' Camry today for a friend of a friend and repeat client. It sits under a tree and has 200k miles so it was pretty thrashed. I used my G9 and G8 today instead of the Makita to save my back a bit. Love this duo. At first I thought the G8 stalled too much but...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Gave the GLI a mid-week bath with ONR and the BRS. Really like this combo, I'm surprised I slept on the sponge for so long. Went around with Ech2O 15:1 as a detail spray. I tried using P&S dream maker on the hood but... meh. It's oily and smeary on a coating. Maybe I'm not using it right but for...

Wanting to detail full time - Looking for advice

That's a tough call to make that full time transition. I'm thinking that mobile is really the only way to start out unless you have some significant savings (or loans) to support starting a shop-based business. Mobile has significantly lower risk for those reasons, and is probably the best way...

What's everyone favorite medium polishing foam pad?

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. Maybe next time I put in a big order I'll grab one or two to test out.
